Why 'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Episode 4 did not air?

'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Episode 4 did not air for US viewers, but it was certainly available for viewers in Canada. The episode did not air because of the baseball game airing at the same time. Game 2 of the series between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves was delayed due to rain on October 12, pushing back the start time to 7.30 pm EST. Fox was also set to air a game between Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres starting at 8.37 pm EST. This meant that 'Masked Singer' couldn't be aired at the scheduled time.

Angry fans flooded the internet with their hateful comments. One wrote, "Ok so apparently #TheMaskedSinger is on in Canada but still not here in Maryland, they said it will be after the game...but I doubt it. Even judge Nicole tweeted an apology about this & for any spoilers. Man is this a clusterf*@#!!!" Another wrote, "MLB should postpone the game and leave The Masked Singer shown! Not aired live!!" Moreover, a fan lashed out the anger, "This makes me hate baseball even more now".

Soon after noticing angry fans take over Twitter, FOX came up with an apology. They wrote, "Whoa, whoa, #TheMaskedSinger fam... We're SO sorry about the delay! The episode is still airing in Canada, so please watch out for spoilers. We'll let you know when you can watch the episode ASAP". Furthermore, they posted, claiming that the episode will air after the baseball game ends. They wrote, "WEDNES-YAY continues after the game!" However, soon after the game ended, FOX deleted this tweet, leaving the fans wondering whether the episode will even air or not.

When will 'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Episode 4 release?

'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Episode 4 was expected to air after the baseball game. However, the same didn't happen. Therefore, FOX tweeted a sorry message to their fans. The platform wrote, "Please forgive us... We're sorry we missed you tonight, but we’ll see you next week on @FOXTV!"

Well, as of now FOX has stated that 'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Episode 4 will release next Wednesday. However, it's unclear whether both Episode 4 and Episode 5 will air for US viewers, or whether the entire release schedule of the show will change. Stay tuned for updates.

A fan lashed tweeted, "YOU MADE US WAIT. YOU PROMISED IT WOULD BE ON AFTER THE GAME. HOW YOU COULD LIE TO US". Another lashed out his anger, "What a crock of sh*t Made all of us wait for nothing.. Why didn’t you say this earlier instead of having everyone think we’d get the episode tonight?" Furthermore, another fan wrote, "Ridiculous. Could have told us hours ago you were canceling tonight’s US episode". Another fan questioned FOX, "Why did you delete the tweet about the show playing after the game?"
