'Love is Blind': Why did Natalie change her mind and decide not to marry Shayne?
It barely took any time for 29-year-old Natalie Lee to fall head-over-heels in love with Shayne Jansen. Despite never seeing him in-person or meeting him, the conversations that the dup had through the pods on 'Love is Blind' left the consultant convinced that Shayne was the one for her. Unfortunately for Natalie, it wasn't such a clear-cut decision for Shayne.
Even though he thoroughly enjoyed talking to Natalie and getting to know her, Shayne also found himself drawn to Shaina Hurley. The fun and flirty conversation he had with the blonde beauty left him spoilt for choice between Natalie and Shaina. Shayne's connection with both the ladies, led to a lot of friction between the trio, even resulting in Shaina dubbing his relationship with Natalie as 'comical'. However, when it was time to pop the big question, the real-estate broker decided to propose to Natalie and explore a relationship with her. The couple's relationship can be best described as a wild roller-coaster ride thanks to Shaina's attempts at winning back Shayne, and Natalie's stubbornness to not constantly compliment Shayne and reassure him about their relationship. Despite their many differences, Shayne and Natalie seemed to be getting along really well, and were determined to get married and make their relationship work. So, when on the day of their wedding, Natalie, who fought tooth and nail to make her relationship with Shayne work, declared that she didn't want to marry him, everybody was shocked.

While getting ready for her wedding Natalie revealed that Shayne and she got into a huge fight the previous night after she pointed out to him that he was drinking too much alcohol. In a moment of rage, Shayne reportedly said some very nasty things to Natalie which left her feeling very sad and hurt. Shayne too acknowledged that his behavior was unacceptable and revealed that he had already apologized to her for the harsh things he said to her. Both Natalie and Shayne initially refused to reveal what was said during their fight. Just moments before walking down the aisle, Shayne expressed in his confessional that he was head over heels in love with Natalia and would be the happiest man in the world if she said yes to marrying him. He was extremely hopeful about getting married to her and spending the rest of his life with her.
On the other hand, Natalie explained that while she did love Shayne she was however feeling "afraid" about their future and decided that she was going to follow her heart and decide what to do. When Shayne was asked if he wanted to marry Natalie he immediately said yes. However, when Natalie was asked the same question she said no, and explained that while she had nothing but love for Shayne, they however had a lot of big issues that they had to work through and felt that they needed some more time. She then left the altar crying.
Shayne followed her and assured her that he fully respected her decision and apologized once again for the awful things he said to her. Natalie apologized to him as well and told him that she wasn't closing the door don't their relationship and would love to work on it if he was up for it. Shayne added that he meant everything he said, this once again left Natalie feeling puzzled. She revealed what Shayne had said during their fight, and confronted him if he really felt that she was the worst thing that ever happened to him and that he didn't love her. Shayne defended himself by saying he didn't mean that and pointed out how he had already apologized for it several times. While Natalie stood there looking confused, Shayne walked away. He later shared in his confessional that he had no interest of going back to her and that he was tired of proving to her that he was worth it.
Natalie, on the other hand, was convinced that Shayne might have been harboring those feelings towards her deep down as she believed that nobody would say such awful things in the heat of the moment if they didn't feel it. Despite everything that went down, Natalie declared that she would be happy to explore a relationship with Shayne, while he sadly wasn't too sure about getting back with her. So it looks like it might be the end of the road for them.
