ESTONIA: On 'The Bachelor' Season 27, Zach Shallcross foregoes handing out roses for the first time at the end of the group date. With only a few ladies arriving for the February 27 episode, this unexpected decision shook the group.

The lead of 'The Bachelor' did not hand out a rose at the end of the group date on Monday's episode, but there was an obvious meltdown. Jess Girod started crying when Gabi Elnicki read her name last on the date card. She admitted that she was uncomfortable being the only one who had not had a single date yet. The other ladies tried to comfort her, but she would not stop crying.

Why didn't Zach give any rose after Week 6 group date?

Jess is struggling with her insecurity because she's the only woman who has not gone on a one-on-one date with Zach. She told him that she feels like she's "been knocked down so many times" and that she lacks confidence. Jess also admitted that it was difficult for her to constantly be in a room with other women who are more confident than her. Although Zach tried to comfort her, she became agitated.

Zach tried to reassure Jess that she didn't need to meet with him in person to bond with him. She sobbed and admitted to Zach that she was confused and "didn't know where his head was at." Zach expressed his uncertainty about their connection.

After a heated argument, Jess informed Zach that she would not beg for him. He walked her out and Zach murmured, "I wish it was different" when she got in the car. Zach sobbed as he watched her drive away, telling the camera crew, "I wasn't expecting that." Jess told the producers in the car that she didn't understand why Zach was surprised and perplexed about their relationship.

Zach returned to the party to tell the ladies that Jess had left. He had a hard time finishing the story and decided not to hand out a rose tonight.

As the rose ceremony begins, Zach tells the women that he will follow his heart. Gabi receives the first rose. Kaity Biggar and Brooklyn Willie are the next to receive their roses. Kat Izzo receives the final rose. Tonight, Aly Jacobs did not receive a rose and had to leave the Bachelor Mansion.

'The Bachelor' Season 27 airs new episodes on ABC every Monday at 8.pm ET. The episode will be available on Hulu the following day.
