VALLARTA, MEXICO: In the episode of 'Bachelor in Paradise' airing on October 17, Casey Woods departed after collapsing and alarming his fellow candidates. He was gossiping about Pizza Pete one second and collapsing the next.

The drama on 'Bachelor in Paradise' can occasionally have grave repercussions. Evidently, Casey Woods in the Monday episode experienced that. He left the show after he reportedly became a little too hot—physically speaking—amid some Pizza Pete controversy. Let's discuss how he went from relaxing on the beach to leaving in an ambulance in the space of a few minutes because it was a blink-and-you-missed-it occurrence. The Bachelor Nation has its own opinion on the subject, too.

Peter "Pizza Pete" Izzo was immediately disliked by Casey the moment he set foot on the beach. Casey was very clear that he thought Pete was annoying and self-centered. “Peter and I are not the best friends,” Casey said. "I want to keep the d-bag in check."

Pete started calling Brittany Galvin a "clout-chaser," perhaps behind her back, after he went on a 1-on-1 date with her, and she showed essentially no interest in him. Evidently, Casey viewed this as a chance to potentially win Brittany's available rose while simultaneously discrediting Pete by informing her of Pete's remarks. Casey carried out his plan, and of course, there was drama. When Brittany confronted Pete, he merely intensified his insults to her. Then Jill Chin intervened, telling Pete to leave Brittany alone and standing up for her. In essence, the entire beach began shouting, and the ensuing drama proved to be too much for Casey, who wasn't aware that his actions would have such a significant impact. He told Wells, "I feel very dizzy, I think I might pass out," in the midst of all the turmoil and drama, and then he fainted.

Casey stated that he collapsed because of all the tension once he woke up. Casey claimed that he felt "overwhelmed" by the scenario when a doctor checked him. He responded, "I’d like to not be in the middle of all this because that’s exacerbating the issue." When the doctor looked at Casey's foot, he saw that he had hurt his ankle when he had collapsed. Either that, or being compelled to leave the event was a genuinely sad, terrible experience... is the ideal excuse for him to leave before being turned down at the rose ceremony. In any case, he was able to leave the situation just as swiftly as he had entered it. Later that evening, at the rose ceremony, Jesse Palmer informed the contestants that Casey had left the beach.

Bachelor Nation was quick to jump on to social media to share their views on the matter with many coming up with their own theories and rest bidding farewell to the show's Recap King. A fan theory stated highlighting the following Rose Ceremony: "Going from 5 guys being eliminated to 2 was a real stroke of production genius and begs the question, what the fuck did they put in Casey’s drink?" Calling out the producers how things unfolded, another viewer wrote: "Casey saying he’s gonna faint… no one helping him sit..no one getting him water or helping him get to somewhere cool… after producers convinced him tattling on Peter would be a good idea." Another fan quipped: "Camera crew watching Casey’s lifeless body drop to the ground." Hailing Johnny for attending Casey right there, one said, "Nah Casey should have just left it alone she didn’t need to know that. Just so he could white knight and look like a good guy to get her rose."

Some viewers were quick to call him out for getting the heat from the drama who they think he created: "Casey really just passed out from the stress he’s feeling from the drama he created." Another fan added: "Watching Casey physically collapse under the consequences of his actions is the most represented I’ve ever felt on this show." A fan claimed Casey knew he wasn't getting a rose after the ceremony hence: "Casey knew he wasn’t getting a rose but he does know how to start some drama." Another fan blasted him for letting Brittany deal with Pete herself: "Casey created this mess and won’t even go stand up for Brittany himself?? All of the men have been shit talking Peter and then leave the women to handle him…"

While some fans did come to his defense as they write: "What’s annoying is that Casey is getting the heat for telling Brittany (I agree the timing was sus) but the actual villain here is Peter for not being able to just accept Brittany’s rejection." Another viewer added: "The way Andrew’s first instinct was to call out Casey for telling Brittany, not Peter for saying horrible things about her, was not cool." Not understanding the backlash against him, a fan tweeted: "I don’t think Casey’s intent was malicious at all or he was “trying to get a rose” he was telling her because she had to know what he was saying. That’s what all these friends on this show do. So idk why he’s getting backlash for it." One fan defending him wrote: "I understand Casey may have started some drama but at the end of the day he didn’t lie and he just told the truth."
