Why are women at 'The Bachelor' mansion so stressed about Kaity's overnight museum date with Zach?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kaity Biggar has an early overnight date at the museum with Zach Shallcross. Her co-stars, on the other hand, are concerned, fearing that this would strengthen her relationship with the Bachelor's lead.
Long-time viewers of 'The Bachelor' are well aware that the lead does not get the option to have an overnight date until late in the season. When the Bachelor has just three candidates remaining, the Fantasy Suites dates unfold. During this period, the "bachelor" finally gets to spend some alone time with his three top choices. However, Zach appears to be getting the first-ever early overnight date.

Week 3 of 'The Bachelor' 2023 features Kaity going on an early 'overnight date'
In 'The Bachelor' Episode 3, which airs Monday, February 6, things are moving quickly between Zach and Kaity. Zach invites Kaity to spend the night with him at The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in a preview clip provided by the network. The museum is closed for the night, leaving Zach and Kaity alone with the bones and animal recreations scattered around the displays.
"Kaity has zero idea what she’s about to get herself into," Zach says in the video. "I can’t wait to see her reaction." He leads her through the dimly lit museum, holding lights to guide them. When Zach invites Kaity to spend the night with him, she says, "Absolutely." To memorialize the occasion, they dress up in matching safari-themed jammies and shoot selfies with a Polaroid camera. "The fact that it’s just him and I here is so special to me," Kaity says.
Contestants back at Bachelor Mansion are 'stressed'
This overnight date was teased in the 'The Bachelor' Episode 3 preview, which aired following the January 30 episode. The clips showed Kaity's return from the date, with one of the ladies in Bachelor Mansion calling her return the "walk of shame." The mental agony that this long unexpected date has wrought on everyone else back in the mansion is clear to see in the ABC teaser. As the hours pass, the contestants get concerned that Kaity will not be returning home anytime soon. It's a legitimate concern, because overnight dates are almost generally reserved for the second part of the season. An overnight one-on-one date this early, let alone in Episode 3, is unusual.
The preview does not mention it as a 'Fantasy Suite' date, but spending the night alone on a romantic date in a museum is truly a fantasy. The other ladies are terrified that Zach and Kaity will fall and fall fast.
Gabi Elnicki says in a candid interview while Kaity and Zach kiss in front of the dinosaurs, "I think the hardest part is knowing how awesome she is, because I could truly see them together, and that’s a tough pill to swallow."
Zach and Kaity have developed an immediate chemistry on 'The Bachelor' Season 27. She was not one of the five women selected by fans to meet Zach at 'The Bachelorette': After the Final Rose special in 2022, nor did she receive the First Impression Rose or the season's first kiss. But those are no longer certain predictors of who will make it all the way to the end.
The fact that Zach and Kaity, who both live in Austin but had never met before, bonded so swiftly in just three episodes is the reason the rest of the women are so alarmed. And with their night at the museum preview concluding with the zipped-up entrance of their tent, things may be moving too quickly.
