'You just sat in it': Internet slams 'Sister Wives' star Meri Brown's 'run toward your storm' life advice
ARIZONA, US: Meri Brown has been living her best single life following her separation from Kody Brown. She recently posted an important piece of life advice on Instagram, for which she was reprimanded by her admirers and followers.
Meri, who married Kody for the first time in 1990, has lived practically her entire adult life in a plural marriage. Meri and Janelle Brown decided to leave the family when Kody's second ex-wife Christine Brown departed in 2021. Kody and his wife, Robyn Brown, are still legally and spiritually wedded, while Meri is on to other adventures. Meri holds weekly "Fridays With Friends" Instagram live events, usually asking her friend Jenn Sullivan to discuss weekly subjects with her and answer questions from her followers.

On Friday, Meri took to her Instagram to share a reel with her followers. The video is one of her TikTok videos that she chose to share on the platform. With a dramatic musical background, Meri in the video shares, "Did you know that when the storms come, the buffalo run right into them? They do this because as a species, the buffalo know instinctively that if they run through the storm they're gonna get through it faster than if they run away from it. So life tip from the buffalo, just face that storm. Run through it, face it head on. You're gonna get through it a lot faster. Worthy up, my friends. You got this."
She further captioned the video stating, "Run toward your storm, not away from it! Tackle it head on! Worthy Up! You git this! 💙"
Meri announced the end of her 32-year marriage to Kody at the December 'Sister Wives: One on One' special. She said at the time that Kody no longer considered himself married to her and that he "made the decision" to put an end to their relationship, despite her belief that they were working on it.

Looks like Meri's life advice backfired as soon as it landed on her Instagram. Fans took to the comment section to call her out whilst citing examples of her own life which she chose to share on national television. One fan asked, "That whole “worthy up” thing makes no sense at all. Does she understand the meaning of the word “worthy”? “having or showing the qualities or abilities that merit recognition in a specified way.” By saying “worthy up” Meri is implying that you need to make yourself worthy. Worthy of what? Worthy of Meri? Worthy of her time? No, that’ll cost you $6000. If you’re reading this, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and you don’t need to try and make yourself worthy of anybody, especially not at the command of a ridiculous reality star."
Another rubbed salt to the wound by adding, "But ….you didn’t sooo….." One follower also commented, "Seriously, friends. Please dont take life advice from this person 🤦🏼♀️." Reading it as just another content shared for clout, a fan wrote, "That was pretty cheesy. Not loving the background music and swaying back and forth. I understand you gotta make a living. Ugh!"
Further criticizing her for her past, a follower wrote, "Like I would ever take a life lesson from you knowing your past. SMH." Another added, "Just stop and withdraw from this bullshit. Buy a mirror." A further dig from a fan read, "Interesting that you ran with the Koty storm for over a decade! 🤦♀️." One person also commented, "I’m pretty sure you just sat in it 🤷🏻♀️."
Season 17 of 'Sister Wives' is over, but Meri is still going forward in this new age. On another season of the iconic TLC show, fans want to see the aftermath of Meri's divorce and what's next for her.
