Whoopi Goldberg has been blasted for making a comment defending President Joe Biden's latest gaffe. In a recent blunder, Biden asked a crowd gathered for the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Washington, DC where late Representative Jackie Walorski was.

Biden thanked lawmakers for working to end hunger in the US by 2030. Interrupting his own remarks, Biden said, "Jackie, are you here?" He added, "Where's Jackie? She must not be here." He also appreciated Senators Mike Braun, a Republican, and Cory Booker, a Democrat, on the bipartisan initiative. Notably, Biden had previously mourned Walorski’s death in a car crash last month. He had also lowered the White House’s flags for two days in her memory.

'She doesn't care': Whoopi Goldberg SLAMMED for looking BORED over hot topic on 'The View'

'The View' showed a video clip of the gaffe and also one of White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defending Biden. Whoopi Goldberg is now being criticized for saying of Jackie Walorski, "She passed last month, not like a hundred years ago."

"You can't go after him for, you know, not giving aid to Florida or not tackling the infrastructure. You can't go after him for that," Whoopi said on 'The View'. She also said, "But you can go after him for forgetting that someone has passed. I mean, she passed last month not like a hundred years ago, okay?"

Goldberg and 'The View' are facing sharp criticism on social media for her comments. "This is criminal and the ones who are covering it up are criminals," one user said. "No matter what he says or does, there people out there like this that will defend him at all costs. It’s pathetic," said another. One user wrote, "In view of the long-term, blatant propaganda that comes from @TheView in terms of gaffe-clips, we have to conclude that @abcnews and @Disney management approves of the conduct on this show. In essence, they are aiding and abetting the political disaster happening in the USA."

"Amazes me the amount of people who still justify Biden’s inability to comprehend anything. At some point they have to open their eyes and get their heads out of the sand don’t they?" one user wrote, while another said, "A show full of mindless Zombies , just saying what they are told to say —- they are almost as worse as our politicians." "Yeah, look at these people. They constantly have to make excuses for Biden. They are only making themselves look even more foolish than they already are," said one user.
