'Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing': Meet 12 all-star franchise survivalists battle to take home $100K
ORIBI GORGE, SOUTHERN KWAZULU-NATAL: Prepare to witness a group of participants duke it out at the bare minimum! Some of the toughest contestants from 'Naked and Afraid' will square off in a new series on Discovery Channel for the chance to win $100,000 in cash, the title of 'Last One Standing', and the "first-ever perfect 10 Primal Survival Rating."
Fans of the survivalist series will watch as 12 'Naked and Afraid' veterans take on a challenge unlike any other in South Africa's Oribi Gorge on 'Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing'. The task will last 45 days, with the first phase consisting of a 21-day competition in which the 12 survivalists will operate in pairs. This round also has a twist: if a person taps out early, their companion is also dismissed from the show. The remaining contestants compete through a team task with and against their colleagues in the second part of the challenge. The survivalists will face a three-day "everyone-out-for-themselves fight to the finish" in the last round.

Sarah Bartell
Sarah, one of the survivalist veterans, first appeared in Season 6 of 'Stripped and Afraid XL,' when the members were placed in South Africa's dreadful Savannah. She is in a relationship with Danny Graves, although she insists it is an open relationship. The stunning couple met at Burning Man in 2011. In 2014, they finally started dating. Sara is a taxidermist, a TV figure, and a photographer.
Waz Addy
Waz is an Australian survivalist who has appeared on 'Naked and Afraid,' completing 21 days in Florida, and 60 days in the Amazon Jungle, and has an upcoming "Frozen" challenge in Montana that will premiere on Discovery Channel on July 31. He's a new fan-favorite whose attitude to surviving the world's worst conditions has followers memorizing lines and laughing with him. "Control your controllables," he said as he shrugged and watched a big bird steal his food in the Amazon rainforest. He is a member of the humanitarian organization "Veterans Without Orders," which provides much-needed goods and assistance to some of the world's most impoverished areas.
Jeff Zausch
Jeff excels in severe situations, whether desert, alpine, arctic, or tropical. What motivates him is pushing himself to the edge and conquering what most others consider to be physically impossible. Jeff grew up in the Idaho highlands, where he acquired a passion and appreciation for the environment. Jeff spent numerous hours in the mountains, learning about nature and carrying on his family's hunting heritage. As a young man, he became an accomplished tracker, hunter, and trapper, and by his early twenties, he had summited several of the Northwest's highest peaks. Jeff continues to expand his survival expertise by conquering every setting he meets, whether hunting or climbing mountains. Jeff, best known for his appearances on Discovery Channel's 'Naked and Afraid' and 'Naked and Afraid XL,' has yet to encounter an environment that he could not conquer with his basic survival abilities, but he intends to keep looking and pushing the boundaries of what others believe is "impossible."
Amber Hargrove
Amber is an actress and a US Army soldier. She is well-known for being a contestant on the renowned TV show 'Naked and Afraid'. She has also been in series such as 'Naked and Afraid XL', and 'Naked and Afraid and Buckshot'. Amber was born in the California town of Oroville to a retired nurse and a professional vocalist. Throughout her childhood, she joined her mother on camping vacations, where she learned how to build a fire with a ferry rod. Her father's periodic trips included hunting and fishing outings. She attended Intellitec Medical Institute for her schooling. Amber is an outdoor survivalist, shooter, angler, former US Army soldier, alligator wrestler, and alligator wrestler. She entered the military at the age of 17 and served for 12 years. Amber was injured in Iraq, where she served two combat deployments. Amber is married to Peter Kohler, a bladesmith, biker, and Dark Timber Brotherhood member.
Amber's participation in the Louisiana 'Naked and Afraid' challenge was cut short after only 24 days due to an unfortunate occurrence. Her foot swelled, which was first thought to be a blood clot. However, it was eventually revealed that the swelling was caused by hundreds of spider stings. She also appeared on 'Naked and Afraid' for a total of 148 days, becoming the only woman on the show to complete a 60-day challenge.
Matt Wright
Matt has been on 'Naked and Afraid' since 2016. He has also been on spinoffs such as 'Naked and Afraid: Savage,' and in 2021, he stripped naked on the spinoff 'Naked and Afraid: XL,' for the fourth time. This guy is obsessed with being nude in the woods (and surviving). The Colorado native also owns Extreme Instinct LLC, where he conducts survival training and creates bespoke knives and survival gear. He grew up hunting, and his obsession led to his "harvesting" his first elk at the age of 12. According to his Discovery profile, after playing baseball in college, he joined the Air Force, where he served until an accident forced him to return to Colorado as a civilian, hunting, climbing, and generally enjoying the great outdoors. But there's a lot more to him than that. He has the most completed ‘Naked and Afraid’ days under his belt, 215.
Steven Lee Hall Jr
Six-time survivalist, Steven is well known for his stints on 'Naked and Afraid' and 'Naked and Afraid XL,' where he made an impression on viewers. A rattlesnake was one of the survivalist's most unforgettable encounters. According to the Orlando Sentinel, he declared himself "King of the Forest" as he ate the snake's still-beating heart. At an early age, he was taught survival skills by both his father and grandpa. Steven is also a self-taught professional artist known as Nevets Killjoy. He's completed "several murals and over a thousand canvases." Prior to becoming an artist, he worked as a barman at many downtown Orlando, Florida pubs.
Cheeny Plante
The 2008 Sanford High School graduate joined the Air Force and became a SERE expert, or someone who teaches others about survival, evasion, resistance, and escape. Her hobbies include fishing, hiking, camping, and traveling. And every now and then, she fantasizes about her own 'Naked and Afraid'-style trip, complete with crews, cameras, and medics. Her exploits, though, will continue. Cheeny hopes to return to school for her next one. She is thinking of attending The Landing School in Arundel to learn about maritime systems and boat building. She is also considering obtaining a degree in sustainable agriculture. She currently runs her own property-maintenance company, Black Cap Services.
Dan Link
14-day fan challenge competitor, Dan is a marine biologist and television personality best known for his work on the Discovery reality series 'Naked and Afraid' Seasons 10 and 12. Dan is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. He obtained a bachelor's degree in marine biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2012. Executive assistant Holly Roberts and distant field biologist Dan, both fans, were cast in a 14-day survival challenge. They were dumped in Montebello, Mexico's brutal, cenote-covered countryside, among dangerous coral snakes, jaguars, black flies, and a duck named Henry that they urgently wanted to eat for dinner.
Gary Golding
Gary and his companion faced sweltering heat and bloodthirsty bugs in a Brazilian savanna. His presence on the show was about more than simply surviving 21 days roughing it in the wild. Gary is involved in a number of other projects. He is frequently invited to speak at schools in the Los Angeles region, where he takes his bees and other tiny creatures to spread his message. He also takes clients on nature trips (tarzanoflosangeles.com), including kayaking on the Los Angeles River and into the Pacific to get up close and personal with offshore whales and dolphins. Consuming as little as possible, on the other hand, consumes his life.
Stacey Osorio
Stacey, 42, is a woman from Stites, Idaho. She is a biology student and a solitary field data technician. She starts out with a PSR of 6.2. She is obsessed with survival and competing for her children. Stacey initially does not believe that spending time nude is a good idea. Nevertheless, she acknowledges that we are all animals and that we were not supposed to have all of the conveniences that we do. She relocated to a village in rural Idaho with a small population and completed her studies in the biological sciences.

Gwen Grimes
Gwen was born in Oregon. Grimes lived off-the-grid in The Beaver State since her parents were poor. She used to go hunting and fishing with her father in the early hours of the morning during the hunting season. Gwen and her four siblings were then relocated by her father to a North Slope village in Point Hope, Alaska. Gwen relocated to Wasilla after having children. However, an accident forced her to lose everything, and she eventually moved to Eagle, on the Yukon River, west of the Canadian border. Wyldwoodz Wilderness Retreat is a non-profit organization established by a former police officer and homesteader. It offers war veterans, police officers, and other first responders a quiet retreat experience as well as survival training.
Wes Harper
Wes appears to be an average Cary inhabitant at first glance. Harper can generally be found working at his IT firm, Lightwire, Inc., or spending time with his wife, Molly, a full-time real estate agent at Heaton Real Estate, when he isn't enjoying a slice of pizza from Ruckus. However, the Virginia native and father of five has his idiosyncrasies. Mind your own business if you see him roaming about town barefoot for a month or so, or laying traps and creating a tinder nest in his garden. If his trademark string necklace with a huge bead at the front appears suspiciously familiar, check your Hulu viewing history – chances are, you've seen him before.
