Who was Amethyst Killian? Pregnant Missouri mom, 22, found dead after she went missing on the way to gas station
A 22-year-old pregnant mother was found dead a day after she went missing on Thanksgiving. Her body was discovered near Old Towne Park in St Peters, Missouri, after she was last seen going to a gas station on Thursday, November 26, at 1 am. When Amethyst Killian didn't come back home, her mother who lived with her in her Missouri house, filed a missing person complaint in the St Peters police department. The department conducted a vast search of the area and discovered a dead body lying outside 100 Block of North Church Street on Friday, November 27. The police searched the area after getting a tip around noon.
According to a Facebook post by St Peters Police Department, officers were called to the scene "after personal items of the victim were found in the area, which lead to the discovery of her body nearby." The post further read, "The Greater St Louis Major Case Squad will continue to assist St Peters Police Department detectives over the next several days." Requesting people to contact the police if they have any information about Killian, the department concluded with, "The Major Case Squad asks that anyone with information that would assist in the solving of this crime call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477)."
"Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of my cousin. If anyone knows anything please contact the police," Gabrielle Tat wrote on the Facebook post. Another one said, "Hope there are active cameras in that area that show the perpetrator! Prayers for Peace and Comfort for her family and all who cared about her! So sad!" Tat also created a GoFundMe in Killian's name to pay for funeral expenses. The fund has raised $6,709 from a goal of $10,000.
The GoFundMe description reads, "I have created this go fund me for my beautiful cousin Ame Killian who passed away today. Ame went missing Thanksgiving morning and her body way found Friday morning." Killian was five months pregnant when her body was discovered. This was supposed to be her third child, as the post further read, "Her mom can't afford a funeral so any help is greatly appreciated. Plus I would like to raise enough to help in supporting her kids. Marley age 6 is a smart, talented, amazing little girl who will now have go grow up without her mommy, and Hendrix age 11 months is a handsome, smart, loving little boy who will never get the chance to know his mommy."
