Registered nurse Amanda Sheehan was on the hot seat opposite host Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, December 13, night's episode of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'. She was playing the game to raise money to fuel her lifelong dream of building a pug petting zoo along with her boyfriend Nathan. The couple parent a number of pugs and someday plan to move to a different state and build a pug ranch.

Jimmy suggested that they name it 'Hug-A-Pug' — something that struck a chord with Sheehan who decided that she and Nathan would run with it. Sheehan had brought along the smartest person she knew, her father, to help navigate questions priced between $100 to $34,000. After successfully answering the $34,000 question, according to the new format, the contestants have to choose who they'd like to keep in the game.

Each contestant has three lifelines in the show: Ask A Friend, Ask Jimmy Kimmel (this was introduced because no audiences are allowed inside the studio because of the pandemic), and 50:50. If they'd still like to keep the smartest person they know in the game, they had to let go of one of their lifelines. Sheehan, like the many others who came before her, swapped 50:50 to keep the smartest person, in this case, her dad in the show for one last chance to use his help for a single question in the game, going forward.

Audiences watching the game were shocked when she let go of the 50:50. "Gosh, man. What these contestants have against the 50:50? It's one of the best lifelines?!" wrote a fan. "#WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire millionaire drinking game: take a shot every time someone swaps the 50:50 for the assistant," wrote another.

"She got rid of the 50:50. Who'd a thunk it? When will this trend stop?! #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire," read another tweet. "Why do they keep dumping 50:50? #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire" asked another. "It seems that the 50:50 is the usual lifeline celebs are throwing away," added a fan.

Amanda left the game with a minimum of $32,000 dollars. She was playing for the $125,000 question related to 'Toy Story 4' that she got wrong resulting in her losing $93,000. 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on ABC.
