‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ returned for Season 2 with Jimmy Kimmel as the host only a few months after concluding its original season. The latest installment saw celebrities put their intellectual acuity on display, vying for the $1 million prize, as they played to raise money for charities close to their hearts. Meanwhile, a few commoners headlined the show as well, with their rather exceptional performances.

The previous episode saw American stand-up comedian Ray Romano leave the game with just $32,000 after getting a question wrong. He lost the major chunk of his prize money towards the end despite powering through all the questions.

Will 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' be renewed for Season 3?

Perhaps, it could be the minute gap between the first two seasons or the dire circumstances caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the second season of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' reportedly suffered a decline in its ratings.

According to TV series finale reports, "The second season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.19 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 42% in the demo and down by 44% in viewership."

We need to wait until an official statement by the network is released with regard to its renewal for Season 3 or its cancellation, as the figures have left their fate hanging in the air.
