The latest, January 31, episode of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ saw Ray Romano resume his game for $1 million after winning $64,000 last week. The stand-up comedian’s performance was impressive as he effortlessly answered the questions he was imposed with. At the beginning of the episode, Romano was determined to ace the game, in order to make generous contributions to the charity he’s supporting.

The question for $125,000 read, “In the 2020 documentary series “The Last Dance” Michael Jordan said, “Oh, I hated ‘em. And that hate carries even to this day” about which of his rivals? The options included “Boston Celtics”, “New York Knicks”, “Detroit Pistons” and “Los Angeles Lakers”.

Romano gave the right answer by choosing the second option Detroit Pistons and moved on to the $250,000 question. It was here that the comedian faced a slight hiccup when asked about an Italian tradition. The question read, “To bring luck in the coming year, Italians traditionally do which of the following on New Year’s Eve?” The options were “Drink wine from a boot”, “Wear red underwear”, “Kiss a donkey” and “Put money in the freezer.”Although he tried recollecting his experience with the Italian tradition, drawing examples from his personal life, he found it difficult to finalize his answer. Romano then opted for the “Call A Friend” option. However, he was a little unsure about the final answer and decides to flip a coin as he finds himself going to and forth with two options.

Despite being aware of the fact that he would lose a big chunk of his prize money should he get the wrong answer, the comedian takes a chance and chooses the first option which was “Drink wine from a boot”. Unfortunately, the right answer was “Wear red underwear” and Romano ends up losing the majority of prize money as it comes down to $32,000.

But, he promised he would donate $125,000 towards Harvest Home by funding from his own pockets as he looked forward to raising friends for it through the quiz-based game show.

‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
