These great doctors assist individuals with their pain, health, and confidence. Meet all three of the 'Take My Tumor' specialists and learn about their expertise.
Dr Ryan F Osborne
Dr Osborne is an ENT-otolaryngologist in Los Angeles, California, and works with several institutions in the region, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. He graduated from UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine and has been practicing medicine for almost two decades.
The TLC doctor takes Medicare, Humana, and Blue Cross, among other insurance coverages. He comes highly recommended by patients.
Ryan, MD, FACS, is a well-known specialist in head and neck cancer around the globe. His area of expertise lies in the creation of less invasive methods for treating parotid gland tumors, one of which doesn't require any face scarring.
In addition to holding the position of President of the Osborne Head and Neck Foundation, Dr Osborne directs head and neck surgery at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute (OHNI). Through these organizations, Dr Osborne is committed to building an excellence center where renowned surgeons can work together to advance surgical techniques, provide comprehensive patient care, and pursue clinical and biomedical research projects to improve patient diagnosis and surgical management.
Dr Jason Cohen
Dr Cohen, MD, FACS, founded The Surgery Group of Los Angeles, a multi-specialty surgical practice. He is a surgical oncologist and general surgeon who specializes in thyroid and parathyroid cancers.
Traditional thyroid operations leave a prominent imprint on the neck. Dr Cohen, who is a specialist in laparoscopy and minimally invasive procedures, has refined the use of a tiny incision that will leave you feeling secure following surgery.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the State University of New York (SUNY Binghamton), Dr Cohen got his MD from the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, where he also completed his general surgery residency. After finishing his primary residency year at SUNY, he traveled to Los Angeles to train as a surgical oncology fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr Cohen took over as director of Cedars-Sinai's surgical oncology/breast clinic immediately after completing his fellowship. Dr Cohen regards all of his patients as part of his family and treats them appropriately.
He stresses minimally invasive surgery as a technique to provide his patients with a treatment choice that minimizes scars and recovery time. He has published for several medical publications, and his volunteer work has carried him to South America and Africa, where he worked as the Volunteer House Officer at the Mission Hospital in Kikuyu, Kenya.
Dr Kimberly Moore Dalal
Dr Moore practices general surgery in Burlingame, California, and is connected with Mills-Peninsula Health Services-Burlingame. The 'Take My Tumor' doctor has earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has been practicing for almost 20 years.
Dr Moore specializes in treating surgical colon removal, among other problems (see all areas of competence). The new TLC doctor takes Medicare, Aetna, Blue Cross, and United Healthcare, among a few other insurance types.
She had a strong desire to be a surgeon since she was very young. She majored in biology in college and even took a vertebrate surgery course during her final year.
Seven years later, she applied to several of the most prestigious surgical oncology fellowships in the country. Dr Moore became engaged during the application and matching process.
She is now a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist in Burlingame, California, and has been practicing for 20 years. The TLC doctor has extensive experience in both surgical oncology and general surgery.
Dr Moore credits much of her professional and personal success to those who have helped and continue to aid her, including her surgical mentors, family, and even her children's nanny. She may not have the typical mentality of a surgeon, but her patients and colleagues value her collegial and collaborative team approach to providing specialized and cutting-edge therapies in our community.

Who are the patients in TLC's 'Take My Tumor'?
According to TLC's episode guide, the show shows a range of patients:
Charmaine
Charmaine, from Trinidad, is affected by one of the most severe instances of neurofibromatosis ever documented. Every part of her body is covered in tumors, making it difficult for her to swallow and breathe.
Without surgery, these developing tumors endanger her life.

Alexandra and Claudia
Alexandra, 30, has a 20-pound, sagging tumor that began at the back of her neck and has already spread to below her waist.
As the tumor on Claudia's behind grows, so does the need for surgeons to remove it.
Tim
A large tumor on Tim's neck is growing at an alarming rate, but doctors worry that removing it may leave him paralyzed.
Marlow and Amy
Despite his family's concerns, Marlow considers it a high-risk operation to remove a face tumor.
Amy has also let growth on her back develop for over 17 years. After eventually making the choice to remove it, she discovers that now it may be too late.
Jennifer and Marcelo
Jennifer's long-term relationship with her lover is jeopardized by a bulbous growth developing in her tummy.
Marcelo, a 15-year-old from Angola, travels to Los Angeles to have a huge neck tumor removed, but the procedure may be too hazardous.
Arlin and Renae
The large lump on the back of Arlin's neck and skull regularly discharges fluids, yet surgery may prove too difficult.
A tumor on Renae's shoulder and back has prompted her to hide from the public's view, affecting her career as a caring pastor.
'Take My Tumor' will air on Wednesdays on TLC at 10 pm ET starting April 3
