Who stars in 'Queens on the Run'? Meet the cast of Netflix's Mexican action-comedy movie
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix's Mexican action-comedy movie, 'Queens on the Run', also known as 'Fuga de Renias', is about four women who decide to embark on the road trip they had intended on taking in high school after a lot of letdowns in their lives and a bit of liquor in their bodies. The four women are likely to come across some dangerous and interesting experiences on their road trip.
The film, directed by Jorge Macaya and written by actress-screenwriter Martha Higareda, is 96 minutes long. Alexis Fridman, Martha Higareda, Miri Higareda, Martha Cervantes and Juan Uruchurtu serve as executive producers. Perro Azul and Neverending Media produced the film.

Martha Higareda as Paty Fenix
In 'Queens on the Run', Martha Higareda plays Paty Fénix, who lives in the shadow of her egoistic politician husband Esteban, played by actor Arturo Barba. Martha Higareda began her professional career at a young age, while also learning to dance jazz, flamenco, tap and folklore. She has worked on projects such as 'The Legend of the Nahuala', 'Tod@s Caen' and 'Love Hurts'. She debuted in Hollywood in 2007's 'Borderland' and has also appeared in the sci-fi series 'Altered Carbon'.
Alejandra Ambrosi as Marilu Davila
Alejandra Ambrosi plays Marilu Davila, a full-time housewife who is completely devoted to her family after she sacrificed her dreams. However, she feels like she is not appreciated by her husband and children. She has appeared in movies such as 'XY', 'La revista', 'Hidden Moon', and 'Preso No. 1'.
Valeria Vera as Estrella Solares
Valeria Vera plays Estrella Solares, the group's free-spirited, flirty and eccentric character. She is most loyal to her friends. Vera is an Ontological Mater Meditation Coach who promotes consciousness awakening. Vera has appeared in the movies 'La Vida Inmoral de la Pareja Ideal', 'Macho', 'Estrellas Solitarias', 'Todo Mal', 'Casi Divas', and 'Elvira'.
Paola Nunez as Famela Guerra
Paola Nunez plays Famela Guerra. After her mother's death, her character decides to devote her time and mind to her work, neglecting her marriage to Ramiro, played by Ricardo Reynaud. Paola received international attention in 2005 for her breakthrough lead role as Barbie Basterrica, a spoiled rich girl, in 'Amor en Costodia'. Following that, her career took off, with leading roles in numerous television shows such as 'Passion Morena' as well as movies such as 'Mexican Gangster', 'Los Inadaptados', and 'Dariela los Martes', which was shot in France, the US and Mexico, and marked her debut as a film producer.
Claudia Pineda, Seth Allyn Austin, Ricardo Reynaud, Ricardo Munoz Senior, Arturo Barba, Mauricio Isaac and Enrique Arreola also appear in the film.
'Queens on the Run' will premiere on Friday, April 14, on Netflix.
