LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulu will soon debut a new biographical drama series called 'Becoming Karl Lagerfeld' that will go deeper into the rise of famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The series, set in the glitter of the 1970s, will focus on Karl Lagerfeld's (Daniel Brühl) early years as he attempts to make a name for himself in the glitzy world of fashion.

Daniel Brühl, known for his versatility to embody multiple personas, is scheduled to play Karl Lagerfeld in the biographical drama. Brühl will portray Lagerfeld's larger-than-life demeanour during his early career.

Brühl, born Daniel César Martín Brühl González in Barcelona, earned his first job at the age of 15 without any training in the television film 'Svens Geheimnis'.

His worldwide breakthrough came in 2003 with the highly praised German film 'Good Bye, Lenin!'

Since then, Brühl has given compelling performances in different projects, demonstrating his flexibility across genres, including 'The Cloverfield Paradox', '2 Days in New York', 'All Quiet on the Western Front' and 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' among others.

Théodore Pellerin is set to play the character Jacques de Bascher in the show. Jacques de Bascher is seen as an intriguing and contentious person in Lagerfeld's life. He served as Lagerfeld's muse and confidante and was known for his colorful lifestyle, artistic ambitions.

Pellerin was born in 1997 in Quebec, Canada, and began acting in his early teens. His first credited acting work was in 2014 with '30 vies', and he has subsequently appeared in a variety of projects showcasing his acting abilities.

His most significant acting performances are in 'It's Only the End of the World', 'Mayday', 'Franklin' and 'There's Someone Inside Your House' among others.

Arnaud Valois, a well-known French actor, will play the character of famed fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent in the show.  Laurent is a world-renowned fashion icon, and the series will explore his feud with Lagerfeld.

Valois, born on February 29, 1984, initially sought a career in law before discovering his passion for acting. He refined his craft at the Cours Florent acting school in Paris but being rejected as an actor several times, Valois relocated to Bangkok and studied massage therapy at Wat Pho.

However, in 2017, the actor made his comeback after working as a masseuse for six  years with the critically praised film '120 BPM'.

Since then, he has been in a number of productions, strengthening his reputation in the entertainment industry.

Alex Lutz is slated to bring the character of Pierre Bergé to life on the show. Pierre Bergé was a French businessman who co-founded the fashion company Yves Saint Laurent and was a longstanding business associate and one-time lover of the brand's eponymous designer.

Lutz, born in Strasbourg, France, is a multifaceted artist who has carved himself a niche in the French entertainment scene. Lutz's first credited film appearance was in 'Female Agents' in 2008.

His breakthrough came in the 2018 film 'Guy', for which he received the César Award for Best Actor and the Lumières Award for Best Actor.

His significant acting credits include 'The Visitors: Bastille Day', 'La Vengeance au Triple Galop', 'Convoi exceptionnel', 'Vortex' and others.

 Agnès Jaoui will portray Gaby Aghion, a French fashion designer and founder of the French fashion house Chloé, in the biographical drama series.

Jaoui was born in Antony, France, on October 19, 1964, and her career took a crucial turn when she met her partner and colleague, Jean-Pierre Bacri. The duo wrote the play 'Cuisine et dépendances,' which Philippe Muyl adapted for film in 1992.

In 2000, Jaoui made her directing debut with the film 'Le Goût des autres,' which she also co-wrote. Jaoui proceeded to write, direct, and star in her own films, demonstrating her versatility and ability to explore varieties of talents.

Her significant works include 'Look at Me', 'I'm All Yours', 'Under the Rainbow', and 'The Sweet Escape', among others.
