Ryleigh Modig brings her own unique brand of cool to Season 20 of 'The Voice' and the 18-year-old already has an original song with a million listeners

Ryleigh Modig from Spencer, Massachusetts, is all set to bring her brand of cool to Season 20 of 'The Voice'. It seems that she already knows a thing or two about creating a hit song. In 2019, So Far Sounds Worcester featured Ryleigh performing an original song called 'Airborne'. That video now has more than one million views. Like many other contestants on the show, 18-year-old Ryleigh has been singing since she was quite young and when she was 14, she won the local TV station 'New Voices Award'.

Till date, Ryleigh's only official release is a single called 'Statue', which was out in December 2019. Ryleigh is also known for her unique covers of songs by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks, Billie Eilish and Kings of Leon.

Fans already seem to have taken to Ryleigh and were pleasantly surprised at the level of her talent. One fan says, "I gasped at that first note. Wasn’t expecting that. Ryleigh is so talented. #TheVoice." But it's not just her voice that's impressive, it's also her personality. One fan said, "Ryleigh is eccentric and beautiful, with a GORGEOUS voice #TheVoice."

Fans also loved the fact that Ryleigh wore her heart on her sleeve. One fan says, "LMAOO not nick trying to charm her and then her being like “kelly I’m gay !” #TheVoice
#TeamNick." Another fan echoed the sentiment, “Kelly I’m gay!” That was AMAZING #TheVoice."

It's not just Ryleigh's personality but her performance as well that has clearly impressed Kelly Clarkson. Ryleigh is now Team Kelly all the way. Fans think this couldn't be a better fit. One fan said, "Great choice with Ryleigh, Can’t wait to see what you do with her vocally. #TheVoice."
