Who is Nicole Elizabeth Ebaugh? Pennsylvania woman vanishes from parking lot near hiking trail
YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: The search for a missing woman in York County, Pennsylvania, is entering its fourth day as Pennsylvania State Police lead a number of agencies in the investigation. Nicole Elizabeth Ebaugh was last seen near the Heritage Rail Trail County Park at Glatfelters Station Road Parking Area in Springfield Township between 10.45 am and 12.45 pm on Saturday, March 6, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Officials have stated that they were able to track her movements using cellphone GPS, which led them to the parking lot near the hiking trail. Unfortunately, they only found her yellow Volkswagen Beetle, not her. “We want to bring closure to the family in some shape, form or fashion, the best we can,” said Kurtis Timmer, Chief of the South-Central PA Search and Rescue Team. “We want to make sure that we do the best that we can to bring that person home,” Timer added.

Over the past few days, 150 volunteers took to the ground with dogs scouring every inch of a half-mile radius around Glatfelter Station. Pennsylvania State Police even brought horses and helicopters to aid in the search.
On Tuesday, March 9, trooper Kevin Kochka said no formal searches were planned for Ebaugh, 29, of New Freedom. Authorities decided to call off the search as investigators looked for more clues. "The initial investigation revealed that her disappearance was not suspicious/criminal in nature at this time," Kochka said. "Obviously there is more in our investigation that we know however because it is an ongoing investigation we can not disclose. We are continuing our investigation and are following the leads that we have developed."
Ebaugh is described as a White, non-Hispanic woman who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a thin build, and light brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a black and white checkered jacket, and dark pants with a white striping on the side and with her hair tied in a ponytail.
Anyone who may have information regarding Ebaugh’s whereabouts or has surveillance images of the Trail is asked to contact PSP York at 717-428-1011 immediately.
