How did James Alan White die? Body of KPMG executive, 55, found in Dallas woods 6 months after he went missing
DALLAS, TEXAS: KPMG executive James Alan White, who mysteriously vanished last year in October, has been found dead. His body was found in the woods in Texas on Thursday, May 13, almost seven months after he first went missing. He disappeared after working out at LA Fitness gym in North Dallas on October 22 and later a surveillance camera footage revealed that he had made a stop at a gas station to fill up his Porsche Macan SUV.
White's car was found a week after his disappearance 10 to 15 miles away, in the opposite direction of his home where he was heading. Authorities were unable to trace him or find any sign leading to him. His body was discovered within a one-mile radius of where his car was found in October by the Dallas Police. This was after a survey crew working for Paul Quinn college found human remains in a wooded area on the Oak Cliff campus around 12.30 pm on May 13.

Who was James Alan White?
White, 55, was the managing director in the CIO Advisory practice of KPMG, Dallas, with a focus on cloud transformation services and he held the position since February 2020. Prior to that, he held the position at Grant Thornton LLP for a year, after leaving IBM where he had worked for 21 long years. After White failed to return home after his workout, Rusty Jenkins, his partner of 18 years, filed a missing person report at 11 am on October 22, five hours after White's disappearance.
"I got in the car at 7, drove the route back and forth trying to find him. Trying to find evidence of a wreck somewhere," Jenkins told WFAA. "I was calling the hospitals trying to find out if there was an unidentified John Doe in any of the hospitals because I didn't know if he had his ID with him or not," he said. "Anyone who has seen anything, please come forward. No matter how little they think it is or insignificant, it may be a big piece of the puzzle to the police," Jenkins said. A couple of days later, the reward set for people with any information leading to White's whereabouts was increased from $10,000 to $20,000. A private investigator was hired as well who was working with the police in this case.
How did James Alan White die?
The Dallas County Medical Examiner confirmed that the body discovered belonged to White. However, the cause of death is yet to be released. What has shaken the authorities is the duration for which his remains were at the spot where they were found. White is survived by his mother Maralu Craven, brother Tim White and husband Jenkins.
Speaking to WFAA before White's body was discovered Craven said, "I'm not going to give up hope at all. Until they tell me that he's gone. Somebody has to know something." White was described as a "very loving, kind, generous person" by his brother. "The short distance between the gym and home, how he could just disappear, that's the hardest part," he had said. There was no comment from KPMG after White's disappearance and they still have to comment after his body was discovered.
