Who is Zack Wheeler's wife? Phillies ace is first to throw 200 strikeouts this season
Phillies pitcher, Zack Wheeler made many heads turn with his performance and broke a record. Wheeler reached the 200 strikeout mark on the season in his 26th start and now fans want to know more about him and his personal life.
Wheeler hit out Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Brett Phillips in the sixth inning for his sixth strikeout of the game and his 200th of the season. The right-hand pitcher became the first one to reach the 200 strikeout plateau this season in Major League Baseball. Wheeler joins Aaron Nola as the only Phillies pitcher to strike out 200 or more batters in a season since 2013. Nola did so in 2018 and 2019.

Who is Zack Wheeler's wife?
Born on May 30, 1990, Zachary Harrison Wheeler played for the New York Mets from 2013 and 2019. He was born to a baseball-playing family in Smyrna, Georgia, and later moved to Dallas, Georgia, shortly before the start of high school. There, he pitched for East Paulding High School, where he lead the team to a state playoff appearance in 2009 and pitching a no-hitter against Mill Creek High School. The San Francisco Giants selected him sixth overall in the 2009 MLB Draft, and he elected to sign with the team rather than honoring his previous college baseball commitment for Kennesaw State. Wheeler played for the Giants' minor league teams in 2010 and 2011 before he was traded to the Mets in July 2011.
After the trade, Wheeler made his debut in 2013 and his performance in 2013 and 2014 was considered a highlight of the Mets' overall disappointing seasons, but Wheeler's performance came to a swift halt in 2015, after he tore his ulnar collateral ligament during spring training. He underwent Tommy John surgery for the injury and was expected to return partway through the 2016 season, but a series of setbacks during the rehabilitation process kept Wheeler from returning to the mound until 2017. Wheeler returned to form with the Mets in 2018, setting a career-high number of strikeouts and innings pitched. He became a free agent at the end of the 2019 season and signed a five-year deal with the Phillies in December 2019. Wheeler missed part of the shortened 2020 season with a fingernail injury but was impressed at the start of 2021, becoming the third pitcher in the history to strike out 10 or more batters in three consecutive starts.
Wheeler is currently married to Dominique Rizzo. According to LinkedIn, Rizzo is a graduate of LIM College (class of 2017) with a degree in marketing. She often shares hot bikini pictures on her Instagram.
