Who is Sydney Harris? Texas woman in SUV runs over neighbor Lakisha Broomfield amid feud over trash
ALLEN, TEXAS: An incident caught on camera shows a woman named Sydney Harris allegedly running over her neighbor, Lakisha Broomfield, with an SUV on January 4 after she used Harris’ trash bins. Allen County police arrested Harris on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on January 13 for the alleged crime committed against Broomfield, who now has to wear special glasses to help with the concussion she claimed she suffered from the incident.
In the video, the car, driven by Harris, can be seen going into the Broomfield driveway and then slamming over the trashcans while running over Broomfield roughly six feet to the ground. Narrating the details of the incident to WFAA, Broomfield said, “I've literally been harassed by this lady for the last couple years." "I can’t believe any person would hop into a car and hit a person the way she hit me," she said and further added, "I’m having some PTSD, a lot of anxiety, a lot of panic attacks. I just want the peace … the peace of mind and no issues.” Talking about the incident, Broomfield's cousin, Antionette Steele, who witnessed it said, "When she hit her... she flew back."

However, Harris, who did not want to be on camera, claims she never meant to hit her neighbor, only Broomfield’s trash bins. Harris, who suffers from a disorder causing mobility issues, claims Broomfield pushed her to the ground twice during the argument which is when she got into the car and drove into the trashcans. Broomfield said this feud with Harris has only gotten worse over time. She said that Harris has stolen water, shouted at her children, set branches at her doorstep, and even thrown rocks at her vehicle in the past.
