BUFFALO, NEW YORK: Following many days of blizzard warnings, 80 mph gusts, and several fatalities on Christmas Eve, Buffalo received another 36 inches of snow. With millions without electricity, the bomb cyclone will "go down in history as the most devastating storm" to strike the US. A powerful winter storm known as a bomb cyclone has formed in the Great Lakes region, according to authorities in Buffalo, New York.

Due to such a severe cold, many people in the country are suffering, but few heroes are still in the street to assist each other due to such hardships. There were around 27 fatalities in the Buffalo area alone, but there would have been more if neighbors hadn't let guests in. One such case is of Sha'Kyra Aughtry, a local resident of the Buffalo region, who rescued an old man, and her hospitality tale stands out among the numerous others.

A Twitter user shared about the woman and wrote, "TRUE ANGEL IN BUFFALO A THREAD: A local woman received a call on Christmas Eve, "Hi, you don't know me, but I have your brother." The woman's brother's name is Joey. He is 64 years old and mentally disabled."

The story of Sha'Kyra Aughtry' is narrated by Kimberly LaRussa on Twitter. As the whole scene went on Christmas Eve, a caller said, "Hi, you don'tdon't know me, but I have your brother." Joey is the nickname given to the woman's sibling. He is 64 years old and suffers from mental illness. Joey's sister thinks that since he works at The North Park Theater, he went there on Thursday, felt terrified, slept there for the night, and then decided to return to his house.

Sha'Kyra Aughtry overheard someone sobbingly pleading for assistance. After searching outside until she located Joey, Trent, Aughtry's boyfriend, pulled him out of the snow bank and brought him inside. Joey was so cold that they had to remove his socks, use a hairdryer to defrost his slacks, and cut the straps off of his Wegmans bag. Sha'Kyra, a mother of three kids, did everything she could to keep Joey comfortable while she searched for assistance, including feeding him, bathing him, washing his clothes, and providing him with warm blankets.

To distract him from the pain, Sha'Kyra FaceTimed her relatives, which he found really fascinating. This story is so touching that it nearly seems unbelievable.
For Joey to feel safe, Sha'Kyra drove him to the hospital. As they arrived, the nurses took him into their care. She said to him, "No one is going to hurt you, honey," Joey had frostbite of the fourth degree. He is presently in the ECMC burn unit. Sha'Kyra Aughtry, according to Joey's sister, saved her brother'sbrother's life. It was an act of pure love that she and her lover committed. A tale like this has never been heard before. It's simply amazing.

Not the holiday any of us had wished for. The Buffalo airport received about four feet of snow, according to the National Weather Service, while two to three inches of snow dropped south of the city every hour. People found stuck in cars, left freezing in pitch-black circumstances while would-be rescuers battled the elements to help, are among the storm victims in the area. The weekend before, Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, claimed that many of the state's ambulances and fire engines were also immobilized by the snow, as reported by DailyMail.
