LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Boys' Season 4 Episode 5 just aired on Prime Video on Thursday, June 27. In the latest episode of the superhero series titled, 'Beware of the Jabberwock, My Son', several new members join The Seven including Firecracker and Sister Sage, who assist in Homelander's evil scheme.
Meanwhile, as Homelander gathers these new supes, The Boys plan their counterattack. In Episode 5, we see events from 'Gen V' when Butcher and his team find out about a Supe virus.

Who is Sameer Shah?
Dr. Sameer Shah, played by Omid Abtahi, was a top scientist at Vought's R&D Department and is the father of Victoria Neuman's daughter, Zoe. He was later tasked with testing the Supe virus on animals.
Sameer first appears in 'The Boys' Season 4, Episode 5, when the team visits Stan Edgar's property, which had secretly become a lab for the virus.
Sameer and his team gave Compound V and Temp V to rodents. A Supe hamster escaped, causing chaos and contaminating the water, creating enhanced animals. While most of the team was killed, Sameer hid in a barn. In the latest episode, The Boys, Edgar, and Neuman find him.
It’s revealed that Sameer and Neuman are a couple, and he is Zoe’s father, who is now also a Supe. Edgar says, "Dr. Shah was my top man at Vought R&D, before he went behind my back with my daughter."
Sameer Shah could play an important role in taking down Homelander in 'The Boys'
Victoria initially believes Sameer is dead after finding his severed leg by the end of 'The Boys' Season 4, Episode 5. However, it's later revealed that Butcher orchestrated Sameer's abduction and faked his death by cutting off his leg, blaming it on a Supe sheep attack.
In the presence of Joe Kessler, Butcher discloses his plan to coerce Sameer into replicating the Supe-killing virus, suggesting Sameer Shah will play a crucial role in Butcher's strategy to bring down Homelander.
