LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO's 'The Last of Us' is one of the most celebrated series at the moment and based on the name of the video game, this post-apocalyptic survival genre series has managed to satisfy both the fans of the game and the regular audience equally. And what's more, the series even managed to add new elements without compromising the core of the series. And one such added element is the introduction of newer characters into the live-action world of 'The Last of Us' as this would promote the expansion of the world in 'The Last of Us'.
The fourth episode of the series titled 'Please Hold My Hand' introduced some of the fierce revolutionaries in Kansas City. While the leader of this rebel group Kathleen, played by 'Yellowstone' fame Melanie Lynskey, got the spotlight for her performance, there is yet another character who got the attention of the eagle-eyed fans. It is the character named Perry, played by the acclaimed actor Jeffrey Pierce.

Who is Perry in HBO's 'The Last of Us'?
The fourth episode of 'The Last of Us' takes place in Kansas City and we are introduced to a new group of rebellions led by Kathleen. And her second-in-command is a guy named Perry. As mentioned before, there is no character in the 'Last of Us' game named Perry. In the show, he is a fellow rebel, well-trained, who is helping Kathleen in finding Henry. He is the one who shows Kathleen to the room that has something growing but when he is ordered to conceal the impending danger by his boss. There is only a little information revealed in this episode but it seems like this won't be Perry's final appearance in the series as their Henry mission in future episodes would definitely open up some insight about the character in question.

But for, Jeffrey Pierce, this is not an unfamiliar terrain. He is famously known for lending his voice to a character in 'The Last of Us' video game. He voiced Tommy, Joel's younger brother and Sarah's paternal uncle in 'The Last of Us' and 'The Last of Us: Part II' video game. It is to be noted that the role of Tommy is played by Gabriel Luna in the HBO adaptation. Pierce's supporting role in the video game gained him a BAFTA Games Award Nomination for 'Performer in a Supporting Role' in 2020. Pierce is also known for his titular role in the movie ' Charlie Jade' and his other video game appearance as Jason Bourne in 'The Bourne Conspiracy'.
This is not the first time the creators of 'The Last of Us' have used a voice actor in the video game in the live-action series. Previously, Merle Dandridge has reprised her role as Marlene.
