PHILADEPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Megyn Kelly, a journalist and a podcaster, criticized first lady Jill Biden on Twitter and made fun of her for adopting the title "doctor." It happened after she was introduced by a game announcer at the San Francisco 49ers game as "Doctor" Jill Biden while she sat among the audience.

The former Fox News presenter, however, thinks the usage of the title is false and serves no purpose other than to inflate ego. However, Jill Biden is "most proud of her doctorate" when even earlier she was told to stop using Dr title before her name. Jill Biden has a doctorate in education like Megyn Kelly's father had.

Who was Megyn Kelly's father?

With a doctorate in education like first lady Jill Biden, Dr Edward Kelly, 45, taught at the State University of New York at Albany. He was an associate professor of education and had earned a PhD in the field.

Doctor Kelly was the associate director for research and assessment at the Center for Instructional Development at Syracuse University. Additionally, a published author, he frequently contributed to scholarly journals and received praise for his writing from critics.

The Edward F Kelly Evaluation Conference is held each year and is named in honor of Dr Kelly. Megyn was just 15 years old when her father Edward died. She once opened up about it in Daily Mail in 2018, “It was a sudden heart attack, and it changed my family forever. My last sight of him was of him sitting on the couch, looking at the Christmas tree.” Edward died 10 days before Christmas. “What I wouldn’t give now to have that moment back. To have just one more chance to tell him how much I love him,” She added.

As years go by, Megyn holds her family and friends close. As for her, the loss of her father is an important Christmas lesson. She advises others to keep their loved ones close. “Nothing matters except the people around the tree,” back then she told the outlet. 

Megyn Kelly wrote on Twitter, "Announcers for this Eagles-49ers game just spotted the First Lady in a box and of course call her “Dr Jill Biden.” Wonder if she realizes what a wannabe she looks like insisting on this fake title. Get a real MD or just work on your self-esteem.

The tweet has since been viewed by 11.6 million social media users with 4,730 retweets and 51.8K likes. The tweet has generated a lot of responses from users some even taking a jibe at the journalist saying, "No one has a problem." Others were not so polite, as one wrote, "Why is this important? All of my professors in college were referred to as “Dr” No one had a problem with it." Another user wrote, "Stupid people don’t understand academic doctorates."
