MIAMI, FLORIDA: The father of OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, who is accused of killing her boyfriend, allegedly didn't know about her R-rated job and said that her once-thriving internet account has been deleted. Defiantly supporting his daughter, financial advisor Kim Clenney testified during his bail hearing that Courtney fatally killed Christian Obumseli out of self-defense following repeated abuse.

Following a brawl in April at their opulent Miami condo, the 26-year-old woman was charged with second-degree murder for stabbing the cryptocurrency trader in the chest. The problematic model claims she killed Obumseli to protect herself from his attack. She has two million Instagram followers and has earned $3 million since 2020 from OnlyFans. However, prosecutors allege that she was the main aggressor in the couple's turbulent relationship and severely stabbed her boyfriend in a fit of rage. “It was very toxic,” her father said of the relationship. “I knew from the beginning that he wasn’t treating her correctly…There were many things that a father who loves his daughter very deeply shouldn’t have to put up with.” He testified before the court that Clenney lost control after the murder and started binge drinking. “She had been traumatized for quite some time,” he said. “But especially after April 3. She was drinking heavily,” Kim said in court as per New York Post.

The father claimed he had Courtney send him $1,184,000 since she was unable to handle her substantial riches any longer. “I thought the prudent thing to do would be to transfer the money into one of our dormant accounts, and safeguard it that way,” he said, countering prosecution claims that she moved the funds to hide them after the slaying. Kim said the money was wired to his accounts for safeguarding because she was “a mess” due to trauma and heavy drinking, reported Law & Crime.

Who is Kim Clenney?

Kim revealed in court that he has a finance degree and worked for 15 years as a financial adviser, pointing out that the arrangement with his daughter made sense because of his experience in the financial sector. After the incident, according to Kim, his daughter relocated from Miami to Texas to be closer to them and bought a $1.35 million home close by. He also disclosed that Courtney paid the IRS $335,000 not long after Obumseli died. When asked if he knew his daughter was a cast member of OnlyFans, Kim froze. “I didn’t know that for quite awhile,” he said. Kim disagreed with the prosecution's assertion that he would lie to protect his daughter from being found guilty of murder while mouthing "I love you" to her in court at one point. “I would not,” he said in a raised voice. “I resent that accusation.” Prosecutors inquired if he felt secure living with Courtney if she was granted bail. “I’ve lived with her a number of years growing up,” he said as per the New York Post. “And she was there with us this year two to three months. There weren’t any problems. I have no concern about that.”

Prosecutors pressed the matter and interrogated him about a previous Texas incident in which Courtney had a dispute with her mother and sister. “I think the sheriff was called, but she was not a danger to those two people,” he responded. According to a plethora of information made public by the Miami State Attorney's Office, Courtney regularly beat and verbally abused Obumseli. A month before the stabbing, she was heard threatening Obumseli's life. “I’m actually f—ing not having a good day where I actually, literally f—ing want to kill you,” she said in a March 5 cellphone clip obtained by WSVN. “But you don’t take me seriously,” In the coming days, the court will make a decision regarding Courtney's bail request.
