For this group, the path to success has not been simple. They came from Manila's slums and have had to deal with challenges that most people cannot understand.
Their perseverance and devotion to their work, on the other hand, have led them to realms they could only have imagined. They've been dancing together for 14 years and first got noticed on 'Asia's Got Talent' in 2015.
Junior New System rose to prominence as contestants on 'Asia's Got Talent,' where they advanced to the Grand Final stage while also receiving significant exposure throughout the Philippines and Asia. Following this success, their popularity skyrocketed, leading to requests to headline television shows, business celebrations, private events, and government-sponsored gatherings not only in their native country, but also in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
Their expanding popularity earned them major awards, including the coveted Aliw Award for Best Dance Company in 2015 and the People's Choice Award for Best Dance Performing Group in 2016.
Junior New System's most major achievement came in July 2016, when they won the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in California, USA. They won gold medals in all of their competition categories, as well as the titles of Senior Dance Group Champion of the World and Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World.
Junior New System dazzled the 'AGT' crowd by dancing in six-inch heels
Their debut on 'AGT' in 2018 was nothing short of incredible. Despite their modest beginnings as homeless youngsters, this dedicated group stunned the judges with their innovative routine, which included jaw-dropping maneuvers and a startling twist—dancing beautifully in six-inch heels.
Midway through their performance of Jessie J's "Bang Bang," they switched from shoes to stilettos and surprised the audience with a mix of acrobatics, stadium-style choreography, and gravity-defying flips.
The judges, including Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Mel B, were stunned. Simon anticipated that their performance would be the talk of the town, complimenting not only their heels but also their enthusiasm and charisma.
Mel B was impressed by their togetherness and praised their journey from humble beginnings to current prosperity.
