Who is John Huber? Anthony Huber's dad files wrongful death lawsuit against Kyle Rittenhouse
KENOSHA, WISCONSIN: Kyle Rittenhouse, who was involved in killing two men during the Kenosha riots of 2020, will now face a wrongful death lawsuit, as per a judge. The case has been registered by one of the victims' fathers as his son died during the BLM protests in Wisconsin. On February 1, a federal judge rejected Rittenhouse’s lawyers' appeal to reject the suit which also names law enforcement personnel and officials as defendants.
Rittenhouse was acquitted of all the charges following a murder trial that caught the attention of the world. He fought the charges of first-degree intentional homicide, including other counts for killing John Huber, Joseph Rosenbaum, and injuring a third victim named Gaige Grosskreutz. The case was deliberated by jurors for four days. Later, Rittenhouse was acquitted of all the five counts. The decision which surprised many was reached after Rittenhouse’s attorney managed to convince the jury that he was only acting in self-defense, reports Daily Mail.

I’m thankful our justice system in America doesn’t work like the dishonest media; who refused to get the answers before declaring the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent.
Who is John Huber?
John Huber is the father of Anthony Huber who was shot dead during Kenosha riots in 2020. Kyle Rittenhouse, the man who was charged with first-degree murder, was later acquitted of all the five counts of crimnal charges by the jury. John Huber's lawsuit was originally filed back in 2021 initially and claimed that Rittenhouse conspired with police to target protestors who were protesting on the streets amid the shooting of Jacob Blake in August 2020.
As per John Huber's lawsuit, “Officers violated Anthony Huber’s constitutional rights when they allowed the riots to erupt into violence, resulting in his death.” President Joe Biden also reacted to the verdict and said he felt ‘angry and concerned’ by the outcome of the trial. He initially said, “I stand with the jury as the jury system has concluded. The jury system works and you have to abide by it.” However, after criticism by several politicians and common citizens, he released another statement, which read, “While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken.” Biden concluded the statement, “I urge everyone to express their views peacefully, consistent with the rule of law. Violence and destruction of property have no place in our democracy.” As per the lawsuit, Rittenhouse, with other armed counter-protestors, were “subject to a different set of rules and were allowed to move about freely in areas controlled” by law enforcement.
'Kyle's actions were not wrongful'
The US District Judge Lynn Adelman, who dismissed the plea to not proceed with the lawsuit against Rittenhouse on Wednesday, said, “’[The death of Anthony Huber] could plausibly be regarded as having been proximately caused by the actions of the governmental defendants.” Rittenhouse legal team’s representative said, “While we respect the judge’s decision, we do not believe there is any evidence of a conspiracy and we are confident, just as a Kenosha jury found, Kyle's actions that evening were not wrongful and were undertaken in self-defense.”
