Kyle Rittenhouse has been blasted on the Internet after he gave his two cents on Jussie Smollett's case verdict. Smollet was given 150 days behind bars and 30 months of probation on March 10 after being found guilty of staging a hate crime against him in 2019. He was also ordered to pay $120,106 as restitution to Chicago city along with a $25,000 fine.

Reacting to the actor’s case, Rittenhouse, who was acquitted of taking the lives of two people and injuring another one during the 2020 protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, tweeted: “The media called me a white supremacist from the start and instantly called Jussie Smollett innocent. I’m thankful our justice system in America doesn’t work like the dishonest media; who refused to get the answers before declaring the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent.”

Kyle Rittenhouse to sue Whoopi Goldberg over 'murderer' remark as he plans media action

The teenager was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and four other felony charges after he opened fire using an AR-15 firearm in August 2020 as people were protesting against the police shooting of a 29-year-old Black man, named Jacob Blake. The then-17-year-old had claimed to use the gun in self-defense. At the time, Rittenhouse’s case attracted national attention as well as divided people with some calling him a vigilante while others viewing him as a "hero" who was trying to save himself as well as local businesses from looters and rioters.

However, Rittenhouse’s recent remark has backfired as a user criticizing him wrote, “What does Jussie Smollet have to do with this? He got arrested for trying to fake a hate crime. You shot and killed a couple dudes.” Another one mocked, “Kyle, I can teach you how to use a semicolon. Until then, better to stick with a period or comma.” “You shot three dudes. Just go away!” the third one noted.

A user tweeted: “Why the “f” did that little lowlife twerp take an illegal gun across state line in the first place? And ALL Kyle apologists are a-holes and should just go away with him!” The second user said, “you aren’t innocent, you were found not guilty.” A tweet read: “Didn’t you pose w proud boys that were holding up a white supremacist hand sign? It doesn’t really seem like a stretch.” Another tweet added: “You killed two people during the rambo cosplay that  your mom drove you across state lines for. You walked away scotfree. If that not a cluster, nothing is.”

A critic of Rittenhouse asked him, “Why don't you try to make neighborhoods safe in Ukraine?” Another critic said, “1. You're a damned liar. 2. You ARE a racist. 3. You're a murderer. 4. You're a whiny little baby. 5. You're profiting off having traveled out of state to commit murder. That makes you a double extra shitty person with extra shit sprinkles. 6. Go the fuck away.”

However, there were a few who seemed to be in favor of the young man with one tweeting: “Kyle don't let the haters get to you! You are justified in being angry at how the media treated you, and fauned over Smollet. Deal with the media, but focus on God, school & family; as they are all that truly matter.” Another supporter wrote: “Your situation is unfortunately only a single positive outcome…there are many, many good Americans in prison, or being stalked, harassed, deplatformed, defunded, etc. for simply having natural patriotic instincts.”
