Jessica Smith: Naked woman drives golf cart into armed standoff between cops and suspect
TAMPA, FLORIDA: This weekend, Florida authorities and an armed suspect's standoff in Florida took a turn when a naked 28-year-old woman suddenly drove into the crime scene on a golf cart, according to reports.
Jessica Smith, 28, a Boston native had "a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, and she was completely nude," an affidavit of the incident said. At the time of the incident there were several vehicles of Pinellas County sheriffs, around the crime scene, the station reported. It is reported that Smith allegedly drove past the law enforcement vehicles and into the area where the police department was confronting an armed 18-year-old suspect in what turned out to be a six-hour standoff, the report said.

Smith allegedly snubbed officers’ demands of leaving the area, then later denied getting out of the golf cart when officers came to arrest her. Sheriff’s deputies then pulled her from the cart and handcuffed her, the report said. "The defendant’s actions and inability to follow directions put multiple deputies at risk for potentially getting shot at," investigators wrote in the affidavit. Authorities have stated that Smith had no connection with the armed suspect and is charged with resisting an officer without violence, the report said.
The armed suspect was later identified as Myles Abbott, who allegedly fired a gun at people in the area, ran from responding deputies and climbed onto the roof of a house where the standoff happened. Abbott was charged with loitering and prowling, aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer, weapons charges and resisting an officer without violence, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. He also faced a warrant for vehicular homicide, the statement said. Abbott was initially spotted with two other suspects who were arrested later, according to the sheriff's office. Those suspects were identified as Ki'moni Anderson, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile, according to a sheriff's office statement.
