Who is Eric Schaffer? Brooklyn man who tore down pro-Israeli posters with wife booted from job by his dad
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: The Brooklyn 'magician' who was seen tearing down posters of Israeli child hostages with his wife this past weekend, has now been suspended from his job by his Jewish father.
Noah Schaffer was filmed along with his wife Kelly Ann by an unnamed Jewish woman who confronted them at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The couple were seen ripping up posters of Israel's missing and murdered children after the attack by Hamas militants on October 7.
Noah’s father, Dr Eric Schaffer, issued an email on Sunday at Human Factors, the UX company he founded, to tell staff Noah had been placed on unpaid leave for four months, effective immediately, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
What was in the video?
The viral video of Noah and Kelly was posted on X on October 22, on a page named ‘StopAntisemitism’ which claims to be the “leading non-partisan American based organization fighting antisemitism.”

In the video, Noah Schaffer was seen laughing in the face of the distraught Jewish woman and trying to block the camera saying, “We don't consent to you recording us,” before promptly walking away.
Needless to say, Noah felt it was appropriate to go private on all his social media handles after the debacle, but that did very little when it came to people figuring out his current employer.
People on the Internet revealed that Noah had been working as an Executive Strategist for Human Factors.
Previously, he had worked as a 'magician' for ‘A Taste of Magic’, a magic and dinner show in the Upper West Side, Manhattan.
His wife Kelly Ann, had prior experience as a social worker at Urban Dove, a city school program in New York.
It was also revealed that Kelly is listed among protesters on the website 'Antifa Watch' after being arrested in New Jersey at a protest outside the Bergen County Jail where she and others demonstrated against ICE.

After receiving a barrage of tweets, texts, and emails relating to the aforementioned incident, it may have dawned on Dr Eric that for his son's actions, his company needn't suffer.
Being of Jewish descent himself, the founder of the UX company bared his soul in the statement he issued to his staff and reassured them of his son’s full cooperation in his unpaid suspension of four months.
“As has been noted, Noah is my son. He is not an antisemite nor a supporter of Hamas. I can attest that he has not acted this way at any time during his whole life.”
“He now understands that his actions were reprehensible, he is deeply sorry and regretful,” Eric told his staff.
The time off will give him an opportunity to “learn about his Jewish family history, reflect deeply and make amends,” he added.
