STOUGHTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Stoughton Police Department in southeast Massachusetts has issued a public appeal to help locate a missing woman. Emma Tetewsky, 31, was last seen by residents of Stoughton in the area of Lakewood Drive and Pinewood Pond, also known as Harrison's Pond, on Monday, June 26. The police department has released a press statement seeking assistance in locating her.

According to the Stoughton Police Department, Tetewsky, who may also be known as Fraidl Emmet, was last seen by her family near their residence in Stoughton on Sunday. Her family reported her missing to the police on Monday. The police are actively searching for her and seeking any information that could help locate her.

Who is Emma Tetewsky?

Emma Tetewsky, 31, also known as Fraidl Emmet, is described as approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds. She has been missing for a week and may be dressed in a light-colored, possibly blue, long-sleeved shirt, cropped leggings, and Birkenstock-style sandals. She also has a history of mental health problems. Tetewsky is known to frequent Pinewood Pond and Massapoag Lake in Sharon. There was a possible sighting of her on Wednesday afternoon near the Massapoag Trail by Ames Street in Sharon. She has a habit of praying in the woods.

'We're concerned for her health and wellbeing'

First responders have reason to believe that Tetewsky is still in the local area as she does not have access to a vehicle or her cell phone. Therefore, residents in Stoughton, Sharon, Easton, and Canton are urged to thoroughly check their properties, including garages, outbuildings, sheds, and outdoor equipment where someone might seek shelter.

"She remains missing and we're concerned for her health and wellbeing," Chief Donna McNamara said at a news conference held on Thursday, June 29. Additionally, residents and businesses in these areas are requested to review any camera footage they may have from Sunday, June 25, to the present day for any possible sightings of Tetewsky. This collective effort can greatly assist in locating her.

The Stoughton Police Department expressed their gratitude to the various public safety resources that have aided in the search for Tetewsky, including the State Police Air Wing, K-9 units, drones, and boats from METRO-LEC, the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department, the Stoughton Fire Department, and the Quincy Police Department.

The police department has also extended its appreciation to the residents who have provided information regarding Tetewsky and any potential sightings. If anyone believes they have spotted Tetewsky or possesses information about her location, they are urged to keep her under observation and promptly contact 911.
