The suspect who reportedly shot two FBI officers dead and injured others on February 2 when they were acting on a child porn raid has been identified as a 55-year-old man who resided alone at his home in Sunrise, Florida.
Who is David Lee Huber?
David Lee Huber had been the target of a child-porn search warrant that was being served by the FBI agents early Tuesday. He spied the FBI agents at his door through a doorbell camera and surprised the officers serving the warrant by opening fire with an assault-style rifle. According to a report in the New York Post, they were ambushed and shot through a closed door. It was also reported that in addition to being investigated in relation to child pornography, he had vehicle and traffic violations on his record.

It was also reported that Huber had held a commercial pilot license that was issued to him in 1994 according to Federal Aviation Administration. This had authorized him to fly both single and multi-engine aircraft.
Where is David Lee Huber now?
A former tenant was reported as saying Huber always kept to himself while he resided at the Water Terrace Apartments, and that he had not befriended any of his neighbors. It was also reported that the officials who were investigating the shooting believed that Huber had barricaded himself in the apartment and may have also very well died by suicide. The shooting continues to be under investigation and official confirmation regarding Huber's whereabouts are still awaited.
What are the charges against David Lee Huber?
In the shooting, Huber had killed two FBI officers Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger who were executing the warrant in relation to a child pornography case. FBI Director Christopher Wray in an official statement said that the two agents, "were shot and killed this morning in the line of duty while executing a federal court-ordered search warrant in a crimes against children investigation in Sunrise, Florida. Three other agents were shot and wounded; two suffered injuries requiring hospital care, but both are now in stable condition. The third injured agent did not require hospitalization."
As of now, the FBI has not revealed more information regarding the investigation or what really led to the FBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force serving Huber with the warrant. The case was being overseen by prosecutors in Fort Lauderdale, and as of now, the names of agents who were injured and executed the warrant along with Afin and Schwartzenberger have not been revealed.
