Who is Cristhian Bravo? Florida teen, 17, who killed pregnant nurse in car crash after being high on marijuana charged as adult
BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: Cristhian Bravo appeared in adult court in Broward County on Friday, February 17 to confront charges stemming from an accident that claimed the life of a pregnant woman. Prosecutors claim that Bravo who was 16 on December 19, 2022, killed Cristina Hernandez and hurt her son Jacob, age 7.
Jacob is still in the hospital. "For the past 61 days, I have had to sit by my son's bedside," Jacob's father Anthony Estrada said, as reported by Local 10. The 30-year-old Hernandez was five weeks pregnant when she died following the accident close to the intersection of Somerset Boulevard and Flamingo Road. Estrada didn't learn she was pregnant until after she died. He said, "This morning I walked away from him letting him know that I was going to fight for his mother."

Who is Cristhian Bravo?
Bravo who is now 17 years old and attended Everglades Senior High School, is accused of killing a pregnant mother and injuring her son in an. Investigators charged Bravo with driving his father's Lexus without a license, exceeding the posted limit of 110 mph, and doing so while intoxicated by marijuana.
Investigators also charged José Bravo De La Torre, the teen's father, with giving him permission to operate his Lexus. The judge mandated house arrest and drug testing in addition to setting Bravo's bond at $505,000. He is accused of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

A third person wrote, "I am a Miami native. Have seen the best and worst of this city but knowing that there is trash like this here makes my decision to leave so much easier." Another person who sent their prayers wrote, "My prayers to everyone involved."
"His dad should get a heavier sentence allowing his 16 son at the time of the accident to drive a car high without a license & 113 mph should of told his son slow down or stop the car,not let him drive high in the 1st place, bad parenting and the father looked high," wrote another who thinks it's a parenting issue.
