Who is Ben Willoughby?

Ben is a Gold Coast native who was 27 at the time of filming. He describes himself as an "ocean child at heart" in his Bravo bio. Growing up in Australia, he developed his love of the outdoors at an early age and was pushed by his family to pursue his aspirations. Furthermore, being a member of a loving family, the reality TV star prioritizes them above everything else and strives to maintain a strong link with his loved ones despite his itinerant lifestyle. Although Ben had no intention of pursuing a career in the yachting business, he fell in love with nature as a youngster and desired a job that would allow him to live an active lifestyle. He eventually ran with a childhood acquaintance who had achieved some success in the yachting sector and so Ben chose to join in his footsteps. Interestingly, He learned the ropes in no time and quickly created a reputation for himself in the industry.

Unfortunately, little is known about Ben's employment life because he chooses to keep it private, although he shares things about his love for the sea and personal fitness. When he encountered his childhood buddy who works in the yachting sector, he was at crossroads. After experiencing life on the sea, the Australian native fell in love with the work and instantly recognized it was his true destiny. So, without further ado, Ben began training as a yachtie in preparation for joining a super yacht crew in France in 2020. Since then, the reality star has never looked back, excelling at his work and becoming an indispensable member of whatever group he joins. Ben instilled his passion for fitness into his deckhand employment, and reports suggest that he had been working as a fitness trainer aboard luxury boats for roughly three years at the time of the shooting. He also hosts the popular podcast 'Word On The Teak'.

The 'Below Deck' star's Instagram feed includes images of his travels, fitness quest, tattoos, and lavish lifestyle. Some of his posts also include photos of the deckhand and his pals. He has spent most of his adult life working professionally on boat crews, which he meticulously tracks on his social media profiles. Fans hope Ben, like returning chief stew Fraser, will be a long-term addition to the franchise.

Getting steamy with a co-star

New deckhand Ben is shown doing more than simply working and traveling in the 'Below Deck' Season 10 teaser, which debuted at BravoCon. Between dealing with their tasks and having fun, the 'Below Deck' crew nearly always gets into problems, sometimes to the prejudice of their positions on board. In the clip, Ben and new cast member Camille Lamb appear to be getting hot, much to the displeasure of their coworkers. It is unknown whether Ben and Camille will be a major subplot during Season 10, but the teaser clearly shows some turmoil.

'Below Deck' Season 10 airs every Monday at 8 pm ET on Bravo, with new episodes airing the following day on Peacock.
