A former Russian spy who currently resides in Los Angeles has blasted Russian President Vladimir Putin over the Ukraine invasion, warning that he "will stop at nothing" to win the ongoing war. Putin has already been dubbed a war criminal by global leaders for unleashing inhuman atrocities on the civilians in Ukraine. His forces have resorted to violent bombing, shelling, and gunfire to win over cities. Now, ex-Russian spy Aliia Roza has also called out the 69-year-old president for his authoritarian nature.

Roza gained immense popularity last year after she revealed her true identity as that of a former Russian special agent, who eventually fell in love with her target. The 37-year-old barely escaped with her life from Russia after failing her mission, but later settled down in the US. “I was trained in the same military program as Putin and we learned how to stay calm and cold-blooded in a very stressful situation,” Roza said.

She also warned, “Mr Putin always wins; he can’t lose this war and back up, because it will damage his reputation. He will go ’til the end." She noted that Putin aims to gain "full control of Ukraine" and replace President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a new leader.

"Putin’s strategy is obvious — don’t let NATO place any rockets or weapons in Ukraine, and he will do everything to achieve his goal. But he didn’t expect that Ukrainians would fight back and have support from the whole world,” Roza shared. She also opened up about her family and friends in both Ukraine and Russia, who are scared of Putin.

“I speak with them [family and friends] every day and they tell me that Russians over 45 are following Putin’s regime because they are scared. Russian soldiers are usually not the ones who can choose to go to the war or not, there is the order — they have to follow it.”

Born in the Soviet Union, Aliia Roza was trained to be a spy in her teenage years. However, life turned out to be quite different for her, as she later had an affair with the man she was supposed to honeytrap and gather intelligence on. In 2004, she was sent on her first official mission as a spy, where she met her target Vladimir, the man she eventually fell in love with.

"For my first task, I had to pretend I was a prostitute so I could go to a club and seduce the leader of a criminal gang which was supplying drugs into the country. It was just crazy, I was hanging out with these baddies who would fight each other and kill each other,” she recalled in a conversation with Jam Press.

Roza's real-life experiences would even put the best spy movies to shame. When she was trying to execute her task, Vladimir's associates discovered her real identity. "They put me into the car, they dropped me into the forest, it was so dark, and 10 men started beating me. But Vladimir saved me from being killed," she recalled.

However, the love of her life was short-lived as Vladimir died soon afterward. Roza married a Russian oligarch two years later, but her husband was later jailed and succumbed to death in prison. Eventually, she decided to flee Russia with her son Platon and now resides in Los Angeles. Presently, the former spy works in PR and leads a luxurious life.
