LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Season Finale shed light on the enigmatic white-robed witches, but it left us with even more questions about them.

While we now know the Stranger's identity and Sauron's plans, Tolkien fans are left eagerly awaiting season 2 to uncover more secrets.

One pressing question is the true identity of the mysterious white-robed figures who have been tormenting the Harfoot characters.

The wait for answers will be long, but the suspense will keep us engaged. Let's find out what we know about the three witches in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power', for now.

The mysterious white-robed figures first appeared at the Stranger's crash site, tracking him with unclear intentions. They later attacked the Harfoots, revealing their allegiance to the Shadow. In the Finale, they proclaimed the Stranger as Lord Sauron and surrounded him.

The credits identified them as the Dweller, the Ascetic, and the Nomad, but their origins remain unknown, even in JRR Tolkien's books. We do know they are Sauron worshippers, led by the sorcerer Dweller.

Their true purpose and connection to Sauron remain a mystery which might be discussed in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Season 2.

Why are the three witches so significant in 'LOTR: The Rings of Power'?

When the Stranger banished the mystics, he said, "From Shadow, you came. To Shadow, I bid you return." The visuals suggest he sent them to the Wraith world.

Notably, the Dweller wore a crown similar to the Witch-king of Angmar's in 'The Lord of the Rings' films. Given the Dweller's resemblance to the Witch-king, a powerful sorcerer and lord of Men, fans are left wondering whether the Dweller is the Witch-king or if this is just a coincidence.

The answer remains unclear, but we're eagerly anticipating Season 2 of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' for more clues.
