The Mary Mary sisters are all set to perform 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' with LA Phil’s Youth Orchestra Los Angeles at Super Bowl LVI. Super Bowl LVI has the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals vying for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. This will be the first time where a team that hosted a championship game will also play the final game in their own stadium, making the Rams the road team. The Bengals fended off a tough Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes II attack to make their third Super Bowl appearance.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams will square off on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The kickoff time is scheduled for 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT. The much-awaited game can be caught live on NBC and can also be live-streamed on Peacock, NBC Sports App, and NBCSports.com. The Super Bowl will also air on NBC's sister network Telemundo. Over the seasons, NBC, CBS, and Fox have taken turns in showcasing the marquee event. CBS originally set to air the Super Bowl this year made a deal with NBC so that the latter could show the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics 2022.

Who are the Mary Mary sisters?

Mary Mary, set to perform at the Super Bowl, is a female American urban contemporary gospel duo composed of sisters Erica Campbell and Trecina 'Tina' Atkins-Campbell. The duo was born to a large family of seven siblings in Inglewood, California. Thomasina Atkins, their mother, was an evangelist and choir director at the Church of God in Christ. Their father, Eddie A Atkins, was a member and youth counselor at the same church.

Erica is married to record producer Warryn Campbell and Tina to musician Teddy Campbell, who was a drummer for American Idol. Erica and Warryn have two children while Tina and Teddy have three. Although both of their husbands share the same surname, the two men are not related.

The career of the sisters -- born Erica Monique and Trecina Evette -- in the music business officially began in 1998 after meeting music producer Warryn Campbell, who is now Erica's husband. They initially performed for various movie soundtracks, including 1998’s 'Dr. Dolittle' and 'The Prince of Egypt'. The sisters produced a number of chart-topping albums in the 2000s. They have been nominated for as many as 11 Grammy awards, and have won four times including once for Best Gospel Performance and for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album. They have also been nominated for the American Music Awards, BET Awards, Image Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and more. The sisters premiered their own reality show titled 'Mary Mary' on March 29, 2012, on WE TV -- a show that had a solid run until November 2017.

Although the sisters stuck to each other and remained a very solid pair, they have also had their own individual projects. Erica released the solo album 'Help' in 2014, which won the Best Gospel album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. She released the follow-up album 'Help 2.0' in 2015. In 2015, Tina released her own work 'It’s Personal', and also her memoir -- 'I Need a Day to Pray'.

In an Instagram post, Mary Mary announced their excitement as being able to perform at Super Bowl. "We’re so excited to represent INGLEWOOD at #SBLVI with our performance of Lift Every Voice and Sing. The incredible YOLA will be joining us. February 13. Tune in. You won’t want to miss it!" they said.
