Who are Ethan Crumbley's parents? Teen’s dad bought gun on Black Friday
OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN: A suspect involved in the Oxford High School shooting that left three students dead and injured several others has been taken into custody. Reportedly, a 15-year-old sophomore — identified as Ethan Crumbley — at the school was behind the attack that took the lives of Tate Myre, 16; Hanna St. Julian, 14; and Madisyn Baldwin, 17; while injuring eight others, including a teacher.
The accused was taken into custody minutes after he opened fire inside the school’s premises. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said, “As they were coming down the hall, they saw him [the gunman]. He put his hands up, they took a gun and they took him into custody.” Along with the suspect, a 9mm Sig Sauer SP2022 pistol was also recovered from the scene that still had seven rounds.

Who are Ethan Crumbley's parents?
The gunman has been identified as Ethan Crumbley. Online sleuths claim that his parents’ names are James and Jennifer Crumbley. Some reports have stated that the father-mother duo visited Ethan where he’s being held. The motive behind the attack is unknown.
There were a few tweets online that alleged that Ethan’s father has a YouTube page — James Crumbley — that has 98 subscribers. The channel’s description reads: “About games and vlogs” and includes a number of videos that date back to August 2016. Also, a report by The Detroit News said that the Crumbley family stays in a 1,200-square-foot home less than a half-mile east of Washington Street. Police officials were seen in the area and also checking the house after the shooting.
According to reports, a few days before the tragedy, Ethan shared a photo of a gun on his now-deleted Instagram account. He captioned it as “Just got my new beauty today. SIG SAUER 9mm. Ask any questions I will answer.” Later, Bouchard confirmed that the gun used in Tuesday's attack was bought by the gunman’s father on Black Friday.
Meanwhile, Governor Gretchen Whitmer addressing the shooting said: “I think this is every parent's worst nightmare. My heart goes out to the families. This is an unimaginable tragedy. I hope we can all rise to the occasion and wrap our arms around the families, the affected children and school personnel and this community.”
Prosecutor Karen D McDonald noted, “I was both horrified and saddened to learn about the shootings at Oxford High School this afternoon. My office and I have been in constant communication with the Sheriff's Office, the Oakland County Juvenile Court and other governmental and law enforcement bodies. It is our intent to review it thoroughly and issue appropriate charges quickly.”
President Joe Biden also took notice of the tragedy and stated: “My heart goes out to the families enduring the unimaginable grief of losing a loved one. You've gotta know that that whole community has to be in a state of shock right now.”
