Who are Casey DeSantis' children? Florida first lady pitches husband Ron DeSantis as 'parents’ candidate' on first solo campaign appearance
JOHNSTON, IOWA: Florida's first lady Casey DeSantis gave emphasis on her husband Ron DeSantis’ "parental rights" policies as she addressed a barn full of mothers, grandparents, retirees, and local officials during her first solo campaign appearance on Thursday, July 6, 2023. The former TV news journalist, 43, spoke at the event as part of the launch of “Mamas for DeSantis”, a group focused on mobilizing mothers for the Florida governor's presidential bid.
“A lot of bad things are going on, and I can tell you with what Governor DeSantis has done, he will lead the charge and he will clean house,” the breast cancer survivor said, sitting next to Republican Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds in a crowded barn in Johnston, Iowa. She then lauded DeSantis as a defender of "parents' rights", recalling his opposition to school closures and the laws he signed granting "curriculum transparency" for parents in Florida. “I will fight for Ron DeSantis, not because he's my husband — that is a part of it — but it's because I believe in him in every ounce of my being," she said, adding later that DeSantis "will ensure parents have the rights to be able to make the decisions that they think best for their family," according to CBS.
Who are Casey DeSantis' children?
Casey has always been a strong supporter of her husband's political career. She was working as a local anchor for WJXT in Jacksonville when she met Ron for the first time. "We met at the University of North Florida at the driving range off Kernan," she told First Coast News in 2018. They soon started dating and decided to tie the knot in 2009 at Walt Disney World. Casey and Ron have three children together -- daughter Madison, 5, son Mason, 4, and daughter Mamie, 2. Their youngest child was the first to be born at the Governor's Mansion in more than 50 years. While details of their private life have been kept hidden, all three of the DeSantis children have frequently come forth to support their father.

Casey DeSantis launches ‘Mamas for DeSantis' campaign
During her solo campaign, DeSantis launched the nationwide version of her '"Mamas for DeSantis" initiative in a bid to garner strong support during her husband’s 2024 presidential run. “We are gonna launch the largest mobilization of moms and grandmothers across the United States of America to protect the innocence of our children and to protect the rights of parents,” Casey said. The Florida first lady initially launched Mamas for DeSantis in June 2022 as a strong arm for Ron’s re-election campaign to mobilize mothers and grandmothers across Florida.

The ‘Mamas for DeSantis’ program initially targeted to sign up 1 million "mamas" but it surpassed the goal by a big margin on Election Day, according to Ron’s campaign page. To advertise the campaign, Casey tweeted a two-and-a-half-minute video montage two hours before the competition that showed young children sobbing while wearing masks, Dr Anthony Fauci debating the necessity of closing venues in the event of a coronavirus pandemic, and transgender swimmer Lia Thomas standing on a college podium. The now-viral video reflected several of the cultural war points her husband makes in his campaign speeches.
