Who are Casey Anthony’s parents? George and Cindy Anthony stayed together despite cheating allegations
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A murder case that struck a chord — the Caylee Anthony murder of 2008 shook the nation as details unfolded. People were appalled when two-year-old Caylee was found murdered a few months after her disappearance. While authorities searched intently for the perpetrator, all clues led to one person, Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony. But even after Casey’s dubious behavior and many lies, she was not found guilty on account of the lack of evidence.
The case that enraged many, had hit multiple twists and turns along the way until Casey’s final acquittal. Casey had even accused her father, George Anthony, of sexually assaulting her —claims that he denied, and the jury did not entertain as no solid evidence was found. But now, in the new Peacock docu-series, ‘Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies,’ Casey will be discussing her side of the story. The defamed mother claims that it was George who murdered the toddler. She also claims that she suspects George abused Caylee the same way he abused her. But according to reports, Casey's new claims about her father's abuse can land her in a lawsuit. However, one thing is certain that the case resurfacing after years has caused many to wonder about what Casey’s parents have been upto.

Who are Casey Anthony’s parents?
Casey Anthony was born to George and Cindy Anthony, with whom she resided along with little Caylee. While not much is known about the profession of Casey’s mother, Cindy, according to an interview with Associate Press, Casey had revealed that her father, George, worked in law enforcement while she was growing up. Casey said, “Cops believe other cops. Cops tend to victimize the victims. Cops lie to people every day. I’m just one of the unfortunate idiots who admitted they lied. My dad was a cop. You can read into that what you want to.”
Casey’s mother, Cindy, had phoned the police after expressing concern about the little girl’s whereabouts. Cindy had actually broached the subject many times with Casey asking her daughter about the toddler’s whereabouts. However, each time, Casey brazenly lied to her telling her she was either with a nanny or at Disneyland. When Cindy and George reported the disappearance to authorities, it was only then that their daughter admitted that Caylee was missing. But according to Casey, her father was already aware of the situation with Caylee, and she was only following his directions. According to People, Casey said that before Caylee’s disappearance, she found “a soaking” and “heavy” Caylee in George’s arms near the pool.
Are Casey Anthony’s parents George and Cindy Anthony still together?
While the pair suffered plenty of stress surrounding the events of the case, the couple has apparently stayed strong and are still married. However, that does not mean there were no bumps along the road for the duo. HuffPost, reported that Krystal Holloway, also known as River Cruz, claimed in 2011 she had an affair with George. Holloway revealed that George had told her that Caylee’s death was “an accident that snowballed out of control.” When questioned, George denied having an affair and stated that he only knew Holloway while working at the command center.
On the other hand, police had reported that they found a text message from George that read, “Just thinking about you. I need you in my life,” on Halloway's phone. Halloway testified that in November 2008, during the ongoing search for Caylee’s remains, George came to her home and said that he did not think his daughter, Casey, was “capable of harming his missing granddaughter.” She also revealed that she initially lied about her affair with Casey's father to avoid getting him in trouble and to steer clear of unwanted public attention. But in cross-examination, prosecutor Jeff Ashton accused Holloway of sensationalizing her story to make more money.
Today, the couple spends their time doting on their grandson, Parker Lee Anthony, from son Lee Anthony. In an interview with True Crime Daily, the pair revealed that they are not in touch with Casey Anthony anymore. The couple also expresses their different opinions on Caylee’s death, George thinks Casey “accidentally killed” her, while Cindy disagrees. She said, “No, I don’t think, I truly, honestly don’t think she killed her.” She added, “I don’t know. I don’t know if it was an accident or what happened. I don’t know if Casey got distracted and Caylee drowned in the pool.”
‘Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies’ will premiere on Peacock on November 29, 2022.
