Signs on White House fence tell Trump 'you're fired' and 'time to go' as Joe Biden inches closer to presidency
Americans have been on the edge of their seats these past few days as the 2020 US presidential elections have brought so much anxiety with certain states still counting their ballots. Former Vice President Joe Biden seems to be taking the lead at the moment and Democratic voters were quick to let President Donald Trump know that the American people don't want him in the White House.
According to a Daily Mail report, the security fence of Trump's current home has been "covered" with signs, letting the president know that he's lost this year's presidency. The signs read "you're fired!", "loser," "time to go," "eviction notice" and "Count Every Vote." The vote count issue has been quite a battle between Biden and Trump supporters as many of the latter have already started a demonstration in states that are still counting ballots, chanting, "stop the count!" This came after the president decided that he wanted states that showcased a lead for the Republican party to stop counting casted votes.
Signs weren't the only thing gracing the fence, as one protester had a scarecrow on top of the fence with an orange hoodie that read, "Trump-Pence #OutNow." Some even took the opportunity to focus on the causes that the president has been accused of dismissing, including 'Black Lives Matter', 'George Floyd' and 'Breonna Taylor'. These outbursts of sociopolitical demonstrations came to light when Joe Biden started to lead in Pennsylvania and Georgia, inching a lot closer to the 270 electoral votes that would secure his presidency. Meanwhile, Trump has claimed "voter fraud", claiming that he will not concede as he files lawsuits in more than one state.
The "non-scalable" fence, according to the Daily Mail article, was put up by federal law enforcement officials outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to help secure the premises and increase security ahead of election day. The posters and signs that have been put on the fence mostly call for the president to accept his loss and graciously leave the Oval office. It was further reported that people did get creative, as a section of the fence had seven posters plastered on it. The posters were arranged to make a rectangle and each read the word "loser" in more than one color and font. From signs that read "Trump, Tear Down Your Wall. One Hope, One People. United We Stand" to posters of the president as clown reading "fascist clown" (others as Adolf Hitler), pictures of the fence in the Daily Mail article show the extent to which the fence is covered. Besides the fence, many people stood outside of it carrying posters that encouraged people to end police violence and vote Trump out of office.
There is no official winner as of yet when it comes to the presidential race, as votes are still being counted in some states. The results are expected to be out soon but until then Biden supporters are adamant about reminding Trump that the American people have "vot(ed) him out!"
