Will Jill Biden reverse White House Rose Garden renovations? Internet urges her to 'invite Michelle Obama to help'

'I hope Jill Biden restores color and joy to the Rose Garden and that they either knock that stupid tennis bathhouse-lookin' thing down or put in a soup kitchen or something,' a user tweeted

Soon Jill Biden will be the first lady of the US, who will also be taking charge of the White House, including its world-famous Rose Garden. For decades, the Rose Garden has been designed by several first ladies and most of the time, people of America have loved it. But on August 22, 2020, when Melania Trump unveiled the new look of the place, it left a legion of people disappointed. However, now since Jill will take over Melania’s role, internet users are urging her to make the garden look like earlier before the former model changed it, Newsweek reported.

The changes made by Melania included the removal of crab apple trees that lined the walkways. She replaced those trees with a limestone walkway along the perimeter of the garden. The 50-year-old also axed several flowers and trees planted by previous first ladies. A piece published by Melania Trump on the White House website on January 18 mentioned how she took care of the landmark. “As First Lady, and as the temporary custodian of this national treasure, I was inspired by the example of my predecessors. Their reverence for the White House, and their love of history ensured the long-term preservation of the building in which they both served and lived. In similar fashion, the projects that I have overseen during the last four years are ones which I believe will not only preserve the house's heritage but enhance the experience of its beauty and solemnity for generations to come,” she stated.

And now, as Melania is leaving the White House, many people took to Twitter to suggest that Jill should do something to make the garden more beautiful. “I hope Jill Biden restores color and joy to the Rose Garden and that they either knock that stupid tennis bathhouse-lookin' thing down or put in a soup kitchen or something,” one user tweeted. Another one wrote, “I do miss the color of the old Rose Garden. Hopefully it will come back - including the crab apple trees.”It was truly a beautiful place. Now it looks like a green conference room. Yes. Bring the garden back,” the third user commented.

“This photo demonstrates what that crime family did to the entire country. Stripped it of its beauty, warmth & goodness & turned it into a bleak, depressing, empty place,” the fourth person said while criticizing the Trump family. “I was listening to "A Promised Land" yesterday and Pres. Obama recalling the view of the garden. It broke my heart to imagine all of those things he cherished are now gone. I hope Dr. Biden invites Michelle Obama to help her redesign and rebuild it,” the fifth one suggested.

The sixth user said, “They made it As Dark As they are as person! Dr. Jill Biden, I am absolutely positive will bring back Color Life Hope & Faith and it will Blossom Gloriously again.” “It is now stark and sterile, without personality. Much like the FLOTUS who tore out the beautiful colored trees and flowers to replace with her sad vision of beauty,” the seventh one added.
