The episode, titled 'The Perfect Life', is scheduled to be broadcast on Friday, February 16, at 9 pm ET. This case was previously featured on Dateline NBC in an episode titled 'Secret Lives,' which aired on October 31, 2014.

Remy Ramsaran worked for IBM as a program manager, and Jennifer, his wife, dedicated her time to caring for their three children at their home on Sheff Road in New Berlin. He claimed that having such a life gave him no motive to harm his wife.

But things took a dark twist when on December 11, 2012, Jennifer left home and didn't come back. Her body was discovered several months later in February 2013. According to Joe McBride from Chenango County, Ramsaran was described as "obsessed" with Jennifer's best friend Sayles, which added elements of lust, divorce, money, and deception to the case.
McBride alleged that Ramsaran murdered in their home early on December 11, 2012. He supposedly covered up the crime, disposed of Jennifer's body in Pharsalia, left her iPhone on Moon Hill Road in Plymouth, abandoned her van at Plank Road Manor Apartments in Norwich, and then fled to the Norwich Family YMCA.
During the investigation, police discovered various bloodstains throughout the Ramsaran household, including on walls, a rug, and bed sheets. Bloodstain test results revealed that the blood belonged to the Ramsaran children, with only one bloodstain linked to Jennifer. This evidence formed a crucial part of the case, contributing to the prosecution's argument against Remy Ramsaran in the tragic death of his wife.
What was Remy Ramsaran sentenced to?
In 2014, Remy was found guilty in Chenango County for killing his wife, Jennifer, 2012. However, in October 2022, a judge ordered a new trial because of apparent deception by Ramsaran's attorney. Despite Remy asserting his innocence, a jury reevaluated the evidence and ultimately found him guilty of second-degree murder in Jennifer's death. He was then sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
“I am scared to my death that they are going to send me to jail or prison, but here’s the thing. I have truth on my side. I did nothing wrong. I did nothing. I would never harm my wife,” Remy told 'Dateline NBC' after his arrest. Remy claimed his innocence by highlighting the absence of a murder weapon, any eyewitnesses, and a history of violence in their relationship.
