Who is Nisa on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

In the forthcoming episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper', viewers will meet Nisa. She is a woman who has had a severe and itchy rash on her ears that has made its way to her face. Despite her discomfort and insecurity, Nisa stays strong and positive, determined to face this difficulty.

Nisa's black markings extend from her forehead to her ears. However, the issue began in her right ear around two years prior to meeting Dr Lee. She had eczema before that, a condition that causes your skin to become dry, itchy, and rough. Even though she had the disease as a youngster, it eventually went away. But two years ago, her right ear went red and flaky, and it quickly spread.

Nisa's nature of work forces her to wear headphones all the time, which she believed to be the cause of her discomfort. When Nisa eventually chooses to go to the doctor, she was prescribed prednisone. However, events took an unexpected turn. Nisa was feeling 'shaky' as a result of the drug. The rash returned as soon as she stopped taking it.

What happened to Nisa on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

The moment Dr Lee lays eyes on Nisa, she instantly notices the dark spot all over her forehead, all the way down to her ear. Upon learning that Nisa had eczema as a child, which eventually disappeared, Dr Lee realized Nisa had Atopic Dermatitis. She explains to Nisa that she had a condition growing up that she outgrew. The condition seems to get better over time.

Dr Lee was astounded to find that, despite the rash, Nisa had persisted in using foam-padded headsets six days a week for nearly two years. When Nisa tells Dr Lee that her previous doctor put her on prednisone, she tells her that it is like a "big band-aid". When Nisa informed Dr Lee that she was experiencing adverse effects from taking prednisone, she was reminded that the medicine relaxes our immune system but is not specific. The medication "calms anything down."

Upon taking a closer look, Dr Lee observes a few of the raw-looking rashes on her neck. When Dr Lee asked Nisa if she wears anything across her forehead, Nisa reveals sheNisa revealed she wears a visor. Dr Lee recognizes that the pressure points on Nisa's skin have broken out into these painful and itchy rashes.

In a sit-down interview, Dr Lee tells the cameras that conditions like this can be extremely difficult to treat. "You need to know the cause of it." But in Nisa's case, she thinks all roads are leading to one thing, which Dr Lee thinks could be the key to Nisa's condition.

So what is the cause of Nisa's condition? Tune into TLC on Wednesday, April 19, at 9 pm ET for a brand-new episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper'.
