CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA: 'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans' ex Nathan Griffith reportedly has checked into a rehab 6 months after his arrest for allegedly strangling his sister.
Facing potential jail time due to a drunken bust, Nathan is currently focusing on detox and rehab programs. He allegedly has been checked into a Veterans Affairs hospital in Nevada, as per The Sun's reports.
Nathan entered the rehab facility on Monday, initially attempting to sign himself out but ultimately deciding to stay. His choice to seek rehab reportedly came after failing a probation test, with the alternative being prison.
Nathan's mother shared with the outlet, "He's taking this seriously, and I'm happy that he's doing the best that he can." Nathan's rehab journey is expected to continue for a while.
After completing detox, he is said to attend level 3 inpatient rehab at the VA hospital. The father of two was arrested for the alleged strangulation of his sister, Heather, and was booked into Clark County Jail on July 12, 2023. Prior to this, Nathan had pled guilty to felony battery and faced an arrest for allegedly strangling a woman in Florida.

'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans has primary custody of her son Kaiser, while Nathan is granted visitation every other weekend, as per the custody agreement document from October 2020.
However, it is reported that Nathan rarely sees his son. "My mom just had three weeks of visitation with Kaiser and he didn't go to see him. He barely talked to him while he was with our mom." Nathan's sister said to The Sun.
She added, "He also didn't get Kaiser anything for his birthday a few weeks ago and he had just gotten paid."

Nathan was reported to have secretly tied the knot with May Oyola in April 2022. A month later, the couple decided to break the news by updating their relationship status on Facebook.
Despite facing several ups and downs in their relationship, the couple is still legally married to each other. Born in Argentina and raised in Miami, May received a marriage license soon after they tied the knot in Miami.

May Oyola was arrested on Sunday, January 6 for domestic battery after an alleged fight with Nathan. According to the documents, May was charged with 1st degree battery.
May's hearing is scheduled for February 2024. Her bail conditions include "staying out of trouble." A day after May's arrest Nathan was reported to have obtained a No Contact Order against his wife. This order forbids May from having any contact with Nathan until April 8. According to reports, the domestic violence incident was reported by his sister, as May allegedly struck Nathan in the back of his head.
