The Search for Kate Middleton: TMZ docu delves into the Mother's Day photo that sent gossip into overdrive
LONDON, ENGLAND: The Princess Of Wales Kate Middleton has disappeared after she was last seen in public on December 25, 2023. Since then, multiple conspiracy theories have been sparked which only made things worse. TMZ investigated a few theories in their latest documentary, 'TMZ Investigates: Where is Kate Middleton?' However, Kate's disappearance still remained in question until she came to address the public.
Kate reportedly has been recovering from planned abdominal surgery and would not return to public duties until the spring. However, the Princess Of Wales recently shared a photo on her Instagram which sparked concern about her whereabouts among her fans. In the photoshopped photo, Kate sat with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. The photo was the first official picture of Princess Kate released following her abdominal surgery on January 16.
However, TMZ's executive producer, Harvey Levin, invited a Photoshop specialist and pointed out around 16 editing failures. Princess Charlotte's hand doesn't line up with her sleeve, her skirt appears unusually straight in one area, her knee looked washed out, and her hair ends abruptly on her right shoulder and dips unnaturally in another area. Kate's zipper in the top left corner was misaligned and her kids wore the same sweaters they were wearing when they went to the hospital to meet Kate.
The Photoshop specialist also claimed that Kate's face was photoshopped from her previous magazine cover. Meanwhile, Piers Morgan claimed that Kate's Mother's Day photo was fake and AI-generated.
Instagram adds warning to Kate Middleton's Mother's Day Photo
Kate Middleton's Mother's Day Photo was accused of being edited and Instagram issued a warning against the altered photo after multiple fact-checkers flagged the pic for photoshop. The social media platform recently introduced a new feature that added a warning to the picture of the royal with her three kids.
The warning below the photo on Prince William and Princess Kate's Instagram flagged in red text which read, "Altered photo/video. The same altered photo was reviewed by independent fact-checkers in another post." After clicking on the arrow, the viewers were directed to another message that read, "The same altered photo was reviewed in another post by fact-checkers. There may be small differences. Independent fact-checkers say the photo or image has been edited in a way that could mislead people, but not because it was shown out of context."
Kate Middleton issues an apology after photoshop failure
Kate Middleton received internet wrath from her followers on social media over the photoshop failure. However, she took to her X and issued an official apology. Princess Kate wrote, "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day."
