SEATTLE, WASHINGTON STATE: Amanda Knox, the notorious exchange student who gained international attention over a decade ago due to her involvement in a murder case in Italy, has revealed that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Christopher Robinson.

In a playful Instagram post, Knox shared an image of herself reclining on a park bench with the caption "Pregspreading." Responding to a query from a commenter, she confirmed it was indeed a recent picture.

When was Amanda Knox released? 

Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend were released in 2011 but held again in 2014.

Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Knox and her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito faced conviction for the murder of her friend and roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007. In 2015, Knox was once and for all acquitted of the crime by the Italian Supreme Court.



 

While local individual Rudy Guede was separately convicted due to his DNA being linked to Kercher's body and the crime scene, lingering questions persist about the events of that fateful night in 2007, even in Knox's mind.

Amanda Knox now lives with her family in Seattle, Washington. Alongside her husband, Christopher Robinson, she co-hosts a podcast series titled ‘Labyrinths’.

Since her return to Seattle in 2011 after being exonerated, Knox has successfully pursued two of her aspirations. She collaborated with the Innocence Project, contributing her skills as a translator. Furthermore, she announced her first pregnancy in October 2021, marking a significant personal milestone in her life.

At 38 years old, Robinson boasts a creative profile as a poet and author. His literary achievements include being named a finalist for prestigious accolades such as the Ruth Lilly Fellowship, the Colorado Prize for Poetry, and the Yale Younger Poets Prize. 

What was Amanda Knox charged with? 

According to the Famous Trials website, the police asserted that a knife measuring 31 centimeters in length, featuring a blade of 17.5 centimeters, was the weapon used in the murder. This knife stood as the sole piece of physical evidence connecting Amanda Knox to the crime.

According to the Scientific Police, they identified Knox's DNA on the handle and Kercher's DNA on the blade. This knife was consequently referred to as the "double DNA knife," highlighting the presence of both individuals' DNA on distinct parts of the weapon.
