LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: A Las Vegas couple who went missing during a cross-country road trip have been found alive and safe. Anastazja, a veteran, and her wife Vanessa Donham set out on the journey in order to be closer to their loved ones in South Carolina.
The married couple sold their home in North Las Vegas, packed their six dogs into their new RV, and left for South Carolina to be nearer to their family, as per NEWS 3LV.
"Their trip was going great. We have a shared picture album, so they’ve sent pictures of them running around with the dogs. They were playing Yahtzee in one of the videos,” according to Heather Richelieu, Anastazja Donham's mother.
Where are Anastazja and Vanessa Donham?
The couple, according to Heather, desired a new beginning and intended to join her in South Carolina. She said they started traveling around August 2 and stopped in Wyoming, Utah, and Northern Nevada along the way.
The pair left Las Vegas around August 2 and last spoke to Vanessa’s dad on August 9.
"Wednesday night is the last night Vanessa’s dad spoke to them, and Wednesday is also the day their location stopped updating," Heather said.
What did Anastazja Donham's mother do?
Their last known location was Rock Springs, a 23,000-person city 190 miles northeast of Salt Lake City, Utah.
In a last-ditch effort, Heather wrote on the internet that she had been in contact with the police from South Carolina to Nevada. She also looked through traffic camera footage and made social media appeals.
The couple's disappearance, however, remained a mystery as Heather stated, "There's nothing to suggest foul play or that they could be taking a break or taking their time."

When Anastazja and Vanessa Donham went missing, word spread on social media, prompting friends and family to start looking for the married pair.
Facebook user Jae Suarez shared the news of their current status in a post with the message "FOUND ALIVE AND SAFE" written across the image of the missing report. Additionally, she tagged another user named Heather Insera; their relationship is unknown.
"Update as of 8/15/23 THEY WERE FOUND AND THEY ARE ALIVE and SAFE!!! Thanks to Social Media, and thank you to everyone who shared this story," she wrote in the post.
Additionally, Missing People in America published an update with a link to the original news article concerning their disappearance.
"Update 10pm EST: They were just Found Safe!! Thank you for all the quick shares and outreach," they wrote.
Social media users appeared "relieved" when they saw the report that they were found safe, although details of how they were discovered and their whereabouts have not yet been confirmed, as of this writing.
It is unknown whether the family has been told of the couple's safety or whether they have reconciled.
