When will Hurricane Idalia hit Florida? State braces as tropical storm set to strike as category 3
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA: Tropical Storm Idalia is reportedly expected to enter the US state of Florida by Wednesday, August 30.
The storm will probably turn into a hurricane as it will reach the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday before making its way toward the west coast of Florida, the Daily Mail reported.
With the arrival of the violent storm expected to get more threatening with apparent Category 3 class, the probability of calamitous flooding has also increased since it could raise “up to 11 feet of ocean water onshore.”

Ryan Truchelut, chief meteorologist at a meteorological consulting company named WeatherTiger, said, as per USA Today, “More damaging and less damaging outcomes remain on the table.”
Truchelut also noted, “But the eastern Panhandle, Big Bend, and west-central Florida coasts are at serious risk of surge, wind, and rain impacts from a potential major hurricane landfall Wednesday.”
Ron DeSantis calls for full preparation
The governor of Florida has announced a state of emergency while declaring, “This thing hasn´t even gotten to Cuba yet, and the water in the Gulf is very, very warm and so that will provide some fuel for this thing to pick up some more speed.”
He insisted, “I encourage Floridians to have a plan in place and ensure that their hurricane supply kit is stocked. If you are in the path of this storm, you should expect power outages.”
The 2024 presidential candidate added, “Please prepare for that, particularly if this storm ends up coming in the Tallahassee region, there´s a lot of trees that are going to get knocked down, the power lines are going to get knocked down - that is just going to happen, so just be prepared for that and be able to do what you need to do.”
