Netflix is giving ‘Bridgerton’ fans an unexpected head start on Season 4. And it’s happening far sooner than many anticipated. The streamer has officially confirmed that Episode 1 of the upcoming season will debut early through a special global livestream event. This offers select viewers a first look weeks ahead of its public release. As per Economic Times, the announcement was made during a Netflix-hosted livestream, revealing plans for an immersive virtual premiere centered on the show’s next romantic chapter. Season 4 shifts the spotlight to Benedict Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Thompson, and his long-awaited love story with Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha.

Their journey will begin with an exclusive screening of the season’s opening episode, available only to fans who register in advance. Dubbed a “premiere masquerade,” the livestream event will originate from Paris and stream worldwide via Netflix’s Tudum platform. Designed as more than just a screening, the experience brings red carpet moments, interactive fan engagement, and behind-the-scenes insight into one digital celebration. Attendance is limited, and access depends on completing an RSVP before the registration window closes.

The event is scheduled to begin on January 14 at 11:00 PM IST (GMT+5:30). Fans must secure their spot by January 13 at 9:30 p.m. PT, which corresponds to January 14 at 12:30 a.m. ET and 6:30 a.m. CET. Those who successfully register will receive a virtual seat to the livestream and its full lineup of programming. Ahead of the episode screening, Netflix will host a preshow featuring games, giveaways, and a live chat that connects fans across different regions. Viewers will be able to interact in real time as anticipation builds.

The preshow transitions into cast appearances, where actors and creatives discuss the new season, the story, and the creative process behind bringing Benedict and Sophie’s romance to life. Adding to the mystery, Netflix has also teased a special performance segment during the livestream. While details remain under wraps, it is expected to take place between the red carpet-style discussions and the episode screening, making it a key part of the event’s structure. The highlight, of course, is the full virtual screening of ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4, Episode 1.

This early viewing will take place nearly two weeks before the episode becomes available to the general public. The official global premiere for Season 4 begins on January 29, when Part 1 drops on Netflix, according to Parade. As with the previous season, the story will unfold in two installments, with Part 2 scheduled to arrive on February 26. Netflix is using the livestream format to fuel excitement and deepen fan connection ahead of the season’s launch. For ‘Bridgerton’ viewers eager to step into the masquerade early, this event offers a rare invitation to do just that.
